they don't plan on making any mobile port, as i knowwhen is the android version
You should most likely go check the Kart Krew youtube channel.Any updates on v.2 yet? I still can't access the Discord server btw.
SRB2 Kart v.2 is like Half-Life 3. It's never going to happen.
It boils down to at least 3 different things, all three of which are relatively major issues:What is the major issue with the v2, I don't get the point.
If you like V1 the way it is you can keep playing V1 even after V2 comes out. By the looks of it V2 is being designed as a sequel and the Kart Krew seem to be making the game a lot more mechanically in depth which I think looks awesome! I can't understand your 2nd point but at the same time this game is being made by a team of people building a project they're passionate about. Some mechanics might look off at first when we don't fully know how they'll work but I'm sure they're had friends and such play testing to see what works and what doesn't. Who knows maybe V2 will surprise you and you'll really enjoy once it's out :)It boils down to at least 3 different things, all three of which are relatively major issues:
1. V2 is introducing too many major, unwanted changes at once, turning off many long-time players who didn't want 90% of the dumb, gimmicky things Kart Krew is implementing.
2. Kart Krew's attitude towards the community and v2's changes. Kart Krew and their discord community completely drown out any valid criticism towards v2's design and uses the same "it's not for you!" and "you haven't played it yet!" to justify their misguided decisions.
3. No release date in sight, people are getting impatient.

I mean that's why I said if you don't like V2 you can always stick with V1. My biggest problem with kart racers these days is they're all a bit basic and even though V1 is probably my favourite kart racer it is a bit basic for myself so I really welcome all the mechanical changes and knocking people into the air was a great part of MK64 so I am very excited to be here lmaoCant believe I managed to dig up my MB info.
Anyways~

Have you considered that maybe, JUST MAYBE, people like v1's simplicity, and don't want to worry about some random guy Team-Rocketing them off the map with Grow or Invincibility? One man's trash is another man's treasure, I guess.

Don't you see an issue here? On the MB page, back when v2 was announced, we used to get infodumps on all of the new mechanics, with lots of preview gifs and tidbits. Now, it's hard to even get any info on tethering. I'm surprised nobody's thought about the fact that they might be hiding something really bad, or might not be as finished as they claim.

Friends who likely have biases and other factors making them sugarcoat their real perceptions on the product. A public beta would be a proper solution to that problem, but I bet we won't see anything like that any goddamn time soon.

Guess I'll have to wait a long time then, since it's been, what, 3 years? Going on 4?

There's a lot of work that goes into a public beta, and a lot of disadvantages of publishing such a beta, especially when key anti-frustration features are still missing and maps need heavy amounts of direction/conveyance work. I genuinely am not trying to be patronizing here, so please don't take it that way, but a serious question: Have you considered the disadvantages of such a beta? You have to have a pretty specific mutual understanding with someone to get valuable conversation on work that's incomplete in significant ways.
