Usually, it's just up and then somewhere (I lack the sense of direction as of now). The momentum from going up is there to keep you airborne to make your move, then use Chaos Snap again to get where you need to be.

Unless if you wanted to do the flashy dodge from Inazuma's vid and Shadow trailer. Just plan ahead, I guess.
