I'm sorry, I just can't help hut HATE how she controls. It's bad enough that her swinging controls are finicky and almost way too hard to actually use decently (there's a reason Spider-Man always auto-aims in video games), but sometimes it feels like certain actions just don't register. Sometimes attempting to jump sends out her tail despite still being grounded. Trying to use her tail to attack enemies nearby will often latch on to the ground instead despite the reticle, and this can happen over and over and over again. If anything, why can't she jump the way Sonic can? I can see why characters like Fang and Amy can't, but why not Tangle? It would certainly improve her offense, cuz otherwise you can barely attack enemies.
... Anger aside, I do have suggestions for a rework, since this honestly kinda sucks. If you'll allow it, I'm going to put them out on the table for ya:
1. If you don't make swinging automated, for god's sake, add an autoaim toggle. It's frustrating, attempting to latch on to a wall only to be literally BARELY out of reach and promptly plummet to your death.
2. Remove the ground grab for midair. I think she'd be fine without it, since unlike Tails she doesn't drop slowly. Maybe like a payoff; ludicrous height and speed at the cost of a fast way to the ground.
3. Give her a spin jump like Sonic. Her tail as offense barely works, and is kind of a dumb idea anyways since it forces you to literally stop to attack enemies/bosses. (plus, she'd likely be unable to beat CEZ3, much like plenty of other characters without a spin jump.)
4. Maybe add a move where pressing spin either when still or moving or even airborne, you swing your tail like Marine or like Mario with the Racoon Leaf. Holding it continues spinning (albeit unable to gain momentum and slowed a bit,) and the first enemy in range gets grabbed and swung around. Letting go of spin then throws the enemy forward, dealing damage to other enemies or bosses.
