hell yeah, this is what you call an "Ultimate Life Form". shadow in srb2 is what i'd consider a new standard for mods; easy to pick up, hard to master, different movement options, a lot of cool secrets, and most importantly: extremely fucking fun.
chaos snap is a massive upgrade from its 2.1 iteration, no question. momentum preservation is what this move needed to really evolve, and the added touch of being invulnerable for the first few frames really gives it something (especially since you can actually form new paths in custom maps specifically for shadow through hurtwalls!).
homing attack though, it's not my personal cup of tea. not bad by any means, it feels great and the posing after a rebound can be awesome, but the fact that chaos snap's problem has already been solved does make this a bit of a pointless move in comparison. i would personally much rather chaos snap than homing attack.
the visuals also need to be commended, shadow's sprites are honestly some of the highest quality i've ever seen on the message board, and are, again, a huge upgrade from 2.1. it all feels extremely dynamic and radiates shadow the hedgehog (game) for better or for worse.
the secrets, while relatively tucked away, are both hilarious and a blast to use. especially the one you unlock after beating castle eggman's special stage, i expected it but it didn't surprise me any less!
overall? absolute recommendation, must play, whatever you want to call it.
