[Open Assets] High Jump Hijinx Stand alone 1.5

What permissions do you give others to modify and/or maintain your submission?
Modify: YES - Maintain: YES - I give permission for my entire submission to be modified by others or used in their own work. I give permission for my entire submission to be maintained by others as well.
This is High Jump Hijinx from the OLDC. Designed for characters who can jump higher than normal, but with extra double jump shields scattered around for everyone else to join in the fun.

This level was made to go along with my own edits to the base 6 characters (included) to help show how stages could be designed if we had a stronger jump.

There are various segments all over the place, and even accommodations for Gemma.

If you'd like to play with the High Jumpers outside of this level, I have included a Bonus character pack so you can Jump high in any level. Who knows, some other addon levels may even feel better the way they are, but with you jumping higher.

This couldn't have felt more natural playing through it with Adventure Sonic.

Vanilla's jumpheight is one of it's most "DOOM"-like retained traits. So much more is possible when levels are designed around a Sonic-style jumpheight like this, and it feels just right. Will be glad to see SRB2 2.3 embracing this style of high-jumping stages!

Thank you!! It warms my heart to see this level released as a stand-alone. It's lengthy and challenging, and I love having it so accessible. Truly a gem!

All things considered, this is a very complex and uniquely designed map. Great use of slopes and verticality based obstacles. Overall the sense of progression and spectacle is pretty great.

You have far more potential to use the tutorial void textureset to make this level look amazing, there's some serious missed potential with what those textures offer vs what is used in the level.

I still stand by this- I believe that if your map was meant to prove a point about how designing maps around a higher jump... You should include the higher jumps in a lua script that automatically loads with the level! It could have been this way in the OLDC version as well (See: All characters have a higher jump in Blossom Breeze). I don't think having separate High Jump characters are necessary when this is possible. Regardless, everything works and there's lots of love in care put into this.

Welcome to Releases!
