Pushing SRB2 to it's very limits, Demo Quest Zone ensures a uniquely torturous experience for all that play it.
Originally started because a member of the SRB2 Official Server, FrostedGeulleisia, tried and failed to cram all of Beta Quest into a singular map, this has expanded to be a test of how far SRB2's maps can go into size, incorporating every non-boss level of Beta Quest into a singular map, stretching just how much can possibly be in one map.
Slight changes have been made in several places for player convivence and consistency, but overall, the layouts are untouched.
And worst of all, every enemy has also been replaced with a fitting counterpart, meaning no matter where you look, it's all early SRB2 in it's glory. And yes, this applies to the music as well! Every level track has been replaced with it's counterpart from the 2000 OST CD.
Emblems have been added as well! Good luck finding them though!
And, of course, a hint to the location of the Emeralds (not in a proper haiku because could care less):
In a maze of rocky mountains
Lies a warp to a palace
There the emeralds lie
Lies a warp to a palace
There the emeralds lie
I do not expect this to be fun for anyone.
Othius - Aiding in ensuring that the map does not implode inwards on itself and converting to a pk3 for me. (Me lazy at times). Also converted music to OGG Quality 0 for same reasons.
Wumbo - Their "Absolutely Complete SRB2 MIDI Soundtrack", which is where a secret part's track comes from.
Glaber- His resources of SRB2 The Past and Badnik Pack DX, without which this never would have come to fruition.
The SRB2 CSCS - Playtesting and giving advice.
Toaster - For Final Demo Zone, which I reused their title screen graphical swap-out from.
