if you want it to not crash, then get 7zip and erase everything in the map folder of the addon and no more crashes because the game loads the stage that comes right after the stage the player is currently in and on the third stage of the game, it tries to find something in the map folder to use for techno hill act 1 but it cant so it begins looking everywhere and eventually tries to look in some place that its not allowed to so it causes a crash from trying to access something its not allowed to
 
A friend of the creator left a review saying the following:

"I am a long time friend of the original creator of this mod. This is an incredibly disrespectful thing the message board has done.

He asked you all to please delete this mod off the message board for his sake, and you never listened once.

He wasn't much a modding guy, but he's been here since at least 2.1, he's been with the community for the past 5+ years, and this is how you treat his content.

It's ironic that you want your site to be the only one that is reliable and trustworthy for everyone; You take away everything else to make sure the creators stay happy.

Yet this one mod still standing here contradicts what you have said for years. With all your constant support to your community, you denied giving him the help when he needed it most.

The fate of your game is sealed; when it will die and it WILL die, we will be the ones left remaining. The very ones you pushed away, the very ones you tried erasing the faces of.
And you can only blame yourselves."

I kind of agree it's messed up to do this, but writing an entire villain monologue about it is just weird.

open asset mods aren't allowed to be deleted, it's kinda against the rules

dude threw a temper tantrum and tried to delete this addon because he found out about the pretty well-known fact that the guy behind the original sonic.exe wasn't a good person

dude wanted to turn this into lost media. there was no asking for help, he just deleted the thing and got upset when he was told that he broke the rules

if you mean seezee trying to make lost media? then yes, it's really messed up. and the childish rant doesn't help either
 
I think there's one warning stating that the moment that addon get authorized to be in message board, it will stay here forever.

this "friend" is acting immature and childish, what did the creator of this specific exe did was so bad that all fan creations of it must be deleted and people who look at it must be shamed on? its not sark
 
ODoes anyone know if Exetior will have, or already has, a 3D model? Because the levitation sprite doesn't appear to have a 3D model?

coming back to this. the addon is open assets, which meant that people are allowed to freely modify and maintain the addon itself or use assets from the mod for their own works (the original exe chase and early versions of 2011x for example)

and regardless of how you feel on the original poster's ban (they don't want to be associated with this so I will respect that I refrain from using their name) the addon's status meant that someone could've just as easily reuploaded the last version to be uploaded here as a form of maintenance.

while someone would want said theoretical reupload to be taken down, doing so would likely put the reusability system into question as it would mean that there wouldn't really be a way of telling if using something from a project marked as open assets because the creator of said project didn't want to be associated with it anymore

also, an update on my original crashout, as it turned out the design used here ISN'T based on the design from the original creepypasta by JC hyena, but was at least from what I remember being it was actually based on the version by sark (who was outed more recently compared to JC) and personally I wouldn't want to be associated with that either.

while it's definitely too late for a better solution, I feel like it would've been better if the original poster requested for the addon to be moved to a different account and have their involvement completely wiped (more or less what the lost and found account does but without the whole mess that had to happen for it to exist)

I think the original poster shouldn't have been banned, but I also think that purposely deleting media is kinda cringe. but in truth this whole mess could've been avoided with clearer communication
