the omnipresence of this guy in every corner of the mailbox of every user that talks in this thread is so funny it deserves its own at this point

*dies of laughter*
I pick 5 and 6. I'm just not really used to drifting. Sonic can work fine without one if you just fix the turning. And I really like the open zone. I know it's not fully open world, but I just feel like there's much to explore. The open zone fixed the problem with Sonic having to have mostly automated level design full of springs doing all the work. Limiting the boost helped the Cyberspace levels to be more challenging. You no longer can boost through enemies, fixing the issue with the "boost to win" thing. And I prefer the double jump due to it being great for platforming. Although I can see people picking 2 since Adventure is decent as well. (That was intentionally a looooong rant lol)Hey, what's y'all's opinion on Sonic game styles?
1. Sonic should have stayed in 2D
2. Adventure was the best
3. Likes Heroes' controls for some reason. Concept was great tho
4. Boost V1. Sonic feels like a bullet flying through the stage, with a drift and usually an Airdash. Pre-Forces
5. Boost V2. Sonic feels a little tighter and lacks a drift, usually starring a double jump (this also unintentionally fits into Colors, but that's Boost V1) Really just Forces. Yikes
6. Liked Open Zone and want it to continue.
If you couldn't tell, I'm 2.
Personally, there was never a perfect 3D Sonic game. The closest were the 2 Adventure games. SA1 specifically has amazingly fun gameplay. If there were ever a Sonic Adventure 3, the stage design would be a mix between SA1 and SA2, with multiple branching paths, rewarding skill, reaction time, and a bit of memorization. There'd also be more emphasis on the pinball physics, and said physics would be polished up, so the stages would feature more wild and fun shapes to mess around with.
This mod seems like it's attempting to bridge 2. and 4. together in a similar manor to Sonic Frontiers Update 2. It's really interesting. I do hope they scrap the Spinboost for a more traditional Spindash.

The blend is prolly just rush's heavy influence on the mods, that's prolly the only reason why we have a spin boost(unless you're talking about about another kinda spin boost). It seems to me that the team is just adding feature from modern games™ to the ms playstyle that can add to it rather than blending adventure style™ and boost style™.Hey, what's y'all's opinion on Sonic game styles?

Elaborating on an "untraditional" Spindash. The blend is prolly just rush's heavy influence on the mods, that's prolly the only reason why we have a spin boost(unless you're talking about about another kinda spin boost). Personally I like 4 better especially with what they did in unleashed. But I wouldn't be mad if they brought back or do something else entirely cuz they changed to an extant where it doesn't have the same appeal for me. Also I think V6 spindash is as traditional as you can get so would you mind elaborating on what would make it untraditional
