Mecha Sonic from SRB1 has come back in SRB2 to get revenge on Earless!

Spritework edited off of the original sprites in SRB1!

Moveset

Hover
By doublejumping, you'll be able to hover similar to Metal Sonic! It's quite useful for getting over tricky sections of a stage.

Shotput
Press spin while standing still and you'll be able to shoot a projectile. No need to jump on badniks!
Be aware of your surroundings when using it, because if you're in an easily vulnerable spot you'll get hit instead!

Spinning
When you're moving, pressing spin will make you spin instead of shooting. Keep this in mind while trying to use the Shotput!

Breaking walls
Similar to SRB1, moving into a breakable wall or floor will break it, like Knuckles.

Seeing as we had SRB1 Sonic in the past, I don't see any reason holding SRB1 Metal Sonic back. Everything works as intended with no errors and everything else checks out. Welcome to releases!

I'm not sure if it was intentional but this is SRB1 Mecha Sonic not SRB1 Metal Sonic but yeah this mod is an awesome call back to the SRB1 days and also just in general a great mod so congrats on getting into releases dude.










(also no offense to metal Sonic because he is very cool)

to be fair, it CAN be classified as SRB1's metal sonic, only with a different name. but who knows lol

maybe i could do it one day, but it would essentially be doing the same thing, just with new sprites
