Put Wet Village Zone 1 pieces together for the next release. It was planned to be a watery zone back in 2013.

I'll try to add Act 2 along with (plus one or two sandbox maps), but it's going to be a bit challenging.

Permissions for reuse, porting and editing ArchPack

Hey! Since some people reach me to ask permission to edit or reuse parts of my pack in order to host them along with other content or for other purposes, I'd like to post the following, just to be safe:

1) If you want to edit or reuse my works outside your private use, in any degree, please contact me.
  • Prefer to contact me via private message (a.k.a. Conversation), since I'm slow to reply on Discord or something alike.
  • I'll post here the permissions granted to let SRB2 staff know it. You can then host/reuse the content safely from their zeal.
  • The other items below will outline the likelihood and conditions for an approval.
2) Minor changes or changes due to SRB2 limitations:
  • I don't mind much about changes that don't alter the maps themselves. If it's just something due to software limitation (so it's not my fault), such as, you need to change map number in the map lump or in CFG. Just let me know so I can approve and be aware of it.
  • You can also ask to disable a map via CFG or by removing one map or two from the pack. I tend to be okay with that too, as long as you explain why. But again, let me know and approve.
  • You can also ask to create a pack only with the maps you're interested in to host a server, as long as you explain why. Again, the same ask-approve thing.
  • The resulting pack must not have an identical name as the original pack. Something like SRMF_ArchPack_v2.3_myserver.pk3 or anything that you or I might suggest will do.
  • Make sure the change will properly work or not affect gamedata/records from the original pack.
3) New packs with my maps along with others:
  • This requires I analyze your idea. Is it going to be collab, a stand-alone special pack with match/race maps only? They are good as long as credit is given somewhere, and it's very likely that I'll approve. Contact me and wait for a reply.
4) SRB2 no longer supports ArchPack due to major update:
  • Please, do ask for a port on the forum or via private message and I'll work on it ASAP, and please wait.
  • You can offer porting help via private message.

Permission:

2023-04-23 - Granted permission to @Pikaspoop to change the map numbers and host a separate pack with only Water Plant and Lift Brige in their ringslinger/tag server to avoid overwriting other maps.

2024-04-10 - Granted permission to @Mysti to change NextLevel parameters for Multiplayer Server.

Turns out that asking for permission usually works out so long as you're reasonable.
Remember kids, porting without authorization isn't worth it! Always ask if the addon isn't open assets!

Ezer'Arch updated ArchPack v2.4 (SRMF_ArchPack_v2.4.pk3) with a new update entry:

ArchPack v2.4 is out: 2 unfinished/concept maps, Wet Village Zone, and about the rest

I decided to make a series of releases releasing the maps I've worked as they are. The 1st ones are Wet Village Zone Acts 1 and 2, a watery map. The idea behind was to make a renaissance town — with fabrics (as trampolines), arches, aqueducts, cannonballs — that got destroyed and flooded by a monster hidden somewhere...

It seems it needs a fix. Ad Nauseum is missing in the latest version.

Expect a fix... soon-ish. :>

Yeah, same. The map simply isn't inside the addon archive.
Ezer has acknowledged this, but they have not been online in about a year...so I guess you'll have to wait for that to get fixed.
Whoa, nevermind, I just looked and it turns out they're back. But still, you'll probably have to wait.

Ezer has acknowledged
Yes, shame on me for not getting around to fixing it. :<
I've been prioritizing other things, be it more demanding or more rewarding than fixing the CFG file and testing all maps and the gamedata stuff, since my mind can't focus too much on computer stuff anymore.

To anybody: feel free to step in and propose a fix. I will wholeheartedly acknowledge the valuable favor in the credits, both here and the CFG file.

EDIT:

Oops, it's more serious than I thought. Now I *have* to do something about. Or I could provide the map and someone do the rest.

EDIT2:
It's missing Ad Nauseam Zone (MAPX1). I have the file... maybe it's an easy fix.

No worries man, I understand that everything can get in the way and I really don't blame you.

That would be alright then, I didn't notice that it was a known issue.

I thought it was a simple fix so I bumped the thread. And I just learned earlier today that the history tab exists at all and lets me download older versions, version v2.3 has the missing MAPX1 (and 2 3 other maps for that matter), I fixed the issue for myself so I consider this done.

Edit:

Comparing the contents of v2.3 and v2.4, it really seems to be just an oversight. MAPX1, Ad Nauseum, and the 3 multiplayer maps, MAPFB, MAPMD and MAPR0, are missing, but they have thumbnail images, MAINCFG entries, everything. Everything else is either the same, new or updated. I think it's just a matter of copying them over and maybe changing the version numbers to v2.4.1 or smt.

Guys! It seems I've fixed it. It was just but one map missing .....

and the 3 multiplayer maps, MAPFB, MAPMD and MAPR0, are missing

.... several maps. *facepalms*

Back to workbench. I'll post something this night.

EDIT:
Seems everything needed is in. Big thanks to @Huzzah for the pointers.

Expect a release.
