MAJOR GLOW UP

Genuinely, this update has made this mod more peak than most of the stuff from the recent direct!

I think the most notable parts of the bosses, and how you changed up how the bosses play out entirely, genuinely a grand update and i am looking forward to any stuff you make in the future

Oh man that was such a cool feature, that made me have him on my server, what a shame, now he wont be coming back.))

Used to be my favorite character for a long time, and althought i left him for a longer time than what i been using him because several reasons.

Like not being able to go super if you have over 200 rings, and dont have the Balls yet.

The save often breaking, leading to the first issue.

Having a lot of files making up for a character as heavy as 20MB (like, why, ease with the files, or compress the audio or something, please).

I can't even begin to describe how much I LOVE. THIS. MOD!!

Having already played versions close to release, there wasn't much new to me, but that doesn't take away from how amazing this mod is.

The title screen, for starters, absolutely blew me away. The background, the animation of Scarf swinging his sickles, everything about it feels so GOOD.

The gameplay itself is awesome too; Scarf's abilities flow so well in a game like SRB2. It's easy to pick up speed and just challenging enough to maintain it, and that's how it should be. I also like being able to toggle between vertical and horizontal movement, in my opinion every character should have both vertical options and horizontal options. It's the perfect balance.

Onto the sprites, well, not much to say other than OH MY GOD. THEY'VE IMPROVED SO MUCH SINCE V3!! I ESPECIALLY LOVE HIS RUNNING ANIMATION, IT FITS HIM SO WELL

This mod might be my all-time favorite for now, it just works in so many ways. Keep up the good work, Scarf!!

I can say that the abilities are alright though a bit generic I don't see why people are criticizing you mostly about the design of your OC. One more thing I'll also call out is why this archive is so big because I honestly ain't seeing *too* much.

i like my characters simple but i respect this abilities, anyways i dont like the emo character design so imma have to give this one 2 stars

lets start with what i dont like from eh to bad.1: the wolf has hedgehog eyes like why, and his snout his small. 2: the vertical agility should be first (yet you complain about flying characters). 3: hes edgy, basically your whole rant on flying characters but generic edgy characters and how they are overused. and now the good 1: he basically has a gun and it makes bosses fun(except ones the could do better if the up ability thing again). 2: the weird plastic sword bat thing was replaced to something that doesn't look like a happy meal toy. scarf the hedge-wolf-hog is pretty good, so il end this with your popular quote that you used twice for two character addons by the same person: Terrible character....

This is a great character, that also explains on why this version is also an improvement over the old versions that got released around 2022, judging on how he used to have a sword, and now he has a sickle, the best part is, that he is able to fling badnicks after he hits them, which it made me laugh a lot after i ended up fighting eggman while playing as him, just to fling him into the sky and watch eggman admit defeat after he got flinged.

Pretty solid! I only have a few criticisms.

First off, the praise. I love the sound design! The whirs as you approach dashmode really add to the vibe you seem to be aiming for with Scarf as a character. I'm also a pretty big fan of his moveset in general. The Float Dash and Gravity Jump being arranged the way they are leads to a really unique flow between them that really adds to the feel of the gameplay. And, lastly, while I don't quite understand the decision to change the music out - as SRB2's existing soundtrack is probably my favorite of any Sonic game, official or not - your choices of music were all solid (with maybe the exception of Fang's theme, as STT16B's version is shorter than SRB2's and is generally a bit underwhelming for a full fight.)

My only real gripe is the animations. The spritework itself, while not quite as solid as the vanilla stuff, is still quite good and fits in pretty nicely. However, the slashing animation being constrained to just a vertical swing lessens the impact quite a bit - I'd recommend changing it to be more diagonal, but I understand that can be difficult to animate from some angles. Scarf's idle animation is also about the same as Sonic's animation, which detracts a bit from his personality. I'm also not personally a fan of the taunt he can do with the Toss Flag key - I don't know if it's an inside joke or anything, but I personally think it detracts from the personality of the character, which I think is the difference between poor and well-done executions of the concept.

Overall, as I stated before, this is a really good mod! My gripes aside, the flow and feel of Scarf's moveset more than make up for the few flaws the character has. He may well earn a spot among my favorite modded characters for SRB2!

Scarf is actually looking like a competent OC character now! I really love all the vfxs given to him. He's a lot more powerful than the previous versions. I also love the improved sprite work! Still have some generic animations in some parts (mainly the walk and run), but a definite improvement overall. His moveset is a bit complicated, but I'm sure to get used to him after a while
