- What permissions do you give others to modify and/or maintain your submission?
- Modify: ASK ME - Maintain: YES - Others must ask me for permission before modifying my submission or use it in their own work, and I reserve the right to say no for any reason. I do, however, give permission for my entire submission to be maintained by others.
Plans were to get this done and release it months ago, but I lost interest for a while. Regardless, it is here now, an all-new interpretation of my very first mod, Jet Metal Sonic, meet JMS Model H!
Overall, the movement options have been streamlined and some have been cut. The goal was to create something that fit in more with the style of the vanilla SRB2 characters. I don't think I succeeded entirely and added quite a few more bells and whistles than was necessary, but I hope my intentions come through in the result.
With that, let's get to the thing that most people want to know about character addons, the abilities!
JMS Model H also has a number of unique console commands for customisation, mainly in terms of the colours of the visuals. You can read about these in-game by typing "jmshelp" (without the quotes) in the console.
My goal was to make a simple moveset with enough mechanics and things going on that it would be easy to learn but rewarding to master. I also did my best to make the visuals the best I could despite my complete lack of spriting ability.
There are also likely to be some visual glitches when playing above 35 FPS. These are interpolation-related and to my knowledge there is as of yet no way to fix these but they should be minor enough that you should just play at whichever framerate you want.
Feedback and bug reports are always welcome. Please enjoy what Jet Metal Sonic Model H has to offer and let me know your thoughts!

H-Hover
H-Hover can be performed while in the air either from a jump or when falling off a ledge (though it cannot be used from a spring) by pressing jump. While hovering, JMS Model H falls slowly and gains increased manoeuvrability.
H-Dash
H-Dash can be performed both while grounded and while airborne by pressing the spin button and will cause Model H to speed in whichever direction the movement controls are held, breaking through enemies, spikes and breakable walls as well as enter spin gaps similar to a spin dash.
After the H-Dash is performed, Model H will retain some extra movement speed. Think of it like keeping some of the momentum. While this extra speed is kept Model H can run on the surfaces of bodies of water.
Performing the H-Dash while hovering with H-Hover will redirect the dash to go straight up. It will still damage enemies as well as allow Model H to break through certain ceilings.
H-Dive
H-Dive is performed by pressing custom1. It can be performed under the same conditions as the H-Hover regardless of whether Model H is hovering or not. It will break through enemies and certain floors and will cause an explosion on landing, dealing damage to surrounding enemies.
The H-Dive can be cancelled with an H-Hover and landing on a spring with the H-Dive will give extra bounce height.
