Welcome to...Super Tails Flickies!
This mod adds in the flickies that Tails had from Sonic 3 & Knuckles when you got all the super emeralds. They attack any enemies that are currently near the player! This mod also allows Tails to go super if he wasn't allowed to already, to ensure this mod works w/o the need of "everyone can go super" script.
List of commands:
Update Changelog:
For other modmakers out there...
You can detect the presence of this script being loaded with "STFModLoaded", since it written to via the _G variable.
Special thanks to gregory_house for allowing me to re-use some of their code! Without it, I wouldn't have been able to figure out the maths of getting the flickies to spin around.
Also shoutouts to MotorRoach for their Flicky character mod; I didn't use the sprites in there, but I did derive the color palette on these flickies from their mod.

This mod also allows Tails to go super if he wasn't allowed to already, to ensure this mod works w/o the need of "everyone can go super" script.
List of commands:
- STFSearchType <slow/aggressive>: Changes search type, slow is less accurate but less CPU-demanding. Default: "aggressive"
- STFCheckSpeed <num>: Adjusts the speed in which checks are performed on the map for enemies, for STFSearchType aggressive. Set to a higher number for slower computers. Default: 6
- STFAttackNum <1, 2, 3, 4>: Changes the number of flickies that are allowed to attack enemies simultaneously. Default: 4
- STFSuperTails <on/off>: Allows Tails to go super. Default: on
Update Changelog:
v1.3
v1.2
v1.1
Wow, this mod isn't even on releases yet, and it got an update.
- This is now only usable in SRB2 v2.2.1 and above! Update SRB2 before using this! Also yes this is v1.3, not v1.2.1.
- Added drop shadows to the flickies.
- Made it so the flickies only go out to m u r d e r when the player is completely done with their super transformation.
- Reduced redudancy in code by a lot.
- Removed unused frames.
- The birds will not attack the ACZ boss if they're still in the box.
- Fixed a bug where the birds don't actually animate.
- Fixed the birds not disappearing when going above the ceiling (thankfully i had a failsafe in there)
- Fixed problem where if Tails went super again before the birds disappeared, the birds might not spawn correctly.
v1.2
- Checked for compatibility with 2.2.1, it's all good! A very minor revision will come out when it 2.2.1 comes out, simply to replace some code.
- The birds now swoop in when the player turns super, instead of the player just creating them from nowhere.
- The flickies also now swoop away when the player is no longer super, instead of just vanishing into the thin air.
- Flickies now home in on enemies a little bit faster.
- Added "STFMod" variable to player variable, to help prevent conflicts with other mods.
- Adjusted the "home" position that the birds flock to when an enemy is defeated. Also, fixed it's position when the player is in reverse gravity.
- Added exception for Eggpack mod to not have super flickies. Sorry eggman, you don't deserve the birds.
- Fixed the birds' colors not flashing correctly, there was one missing color! I didn't even notice it until I saw it in the code.
- Finally, made the checks for who can use the flickies a bit more strict, now it only allows characters who can both fly and spindash.
v1.1
Wow, this mod isn't even on releases yet, and it got an update.
- Introduced new command, "STFSearchType", which is "aggressive" by default. "Slow" mode should be a lot better for slower computers.
- Fixed Egg Guards not being detected and hurt by the flickies.
