Will Sonic still be able to make lil' hops when tapping the jump button? Because it's really cool that you can do just tap jump and maintain your boost state and the speed that you already had. And you can do stuff like this!

(Also you can just boost one time and bunny hop to keep your boost speed, but It's kinda precise though.)
They are called short hops! From unleashed to do the same thing! And I assume they are to be kept as they try and make him as faithful as possible.

This psuedo-ability is actually extremly OP if you have good timing and sense of rythm.

(Had to record normaly because of my 15 fps gif recording. :C)

I also think they were a thing in generations, it also makes sense why this move would be kept.

If you want OP, try pressing C2 After a air boost. If you spam it you basically fly.

Yeah obviously you can.

Like how it works in sonic unleased??? By boosting and timing correctly. If it was implimented into the code only though
It was not since we aren't talking unleashed. But even if you take out the fact that it's a Glitch. It wouldn't be practical as a recreation. You'd be launched into space into Space while doing basic platforming.

You don't to know what M-speed is so here's a quick clip of how it works. https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx3wwEworFC94awTTiNxKjsMTx_CPcLy9y?si=PI0r53yyksqSOF6v

(I know it's off topic but pleeeeease spare me, i was just trying to help)

I've seen M speed, I'm just saying thats how itd work if it WAS in srb2, not that it IS. It's more of an experimental code, or glitched code implimented into the games framework because of certain tech issues not disscussed by sega(More or less because it wasn't really a problem) It's usually used for speedruns, but it's now impossible to do unless someone modded it in using code and posted that addon mod on srb2. But we don't have any maps that would support that speed. So any ways, that was real off topic...
