internally this has been a thing late october, v6 is projected for a release within January 2025 at this rate.

directive for the future is pretty jangled, we're debating on either these two options:
Option A - Polish current build and save the unfinished content for a theoretical '6.1'
Option B - Wait for our spriters to finish up the unfinished sprites (one being complex animation), releasing as '6.0'
edit: here's the spriter situation in detail

The current build is more than enough content and decently futureproofed if a 6.1 has to happen, so option A isn't the worst case. Even as the opportunity for free-time starts tapering, especially on Spork's end (thank his child for that one :3), I do hope this mod comes out fairly soon within the next 3 months. The release will give me opportunity to leave, I don't really like any of this anymore nor do I plan on sticking along after the release. This mod my very well be my last part with the SRB2 community as a whole, even if minor.

thx yall, have fun when this comes out!!! ;>
i think i prefer option A because their might be some beggars that wants it and it can get worse if it is option b

I can see Option A being picked, as I'd hate for a product that people have been dying for get delayed for about another year.

In development there's a point at which you have to stop adding new content to the game and make sure everything is stable. i think going with option A would be the correct choice here, with all the stuff happening ATM (spork's son, spriters retiring/taking breaks), so i think polishing up the current build and then finishing the rank system and other miscellaneous things later down the line when things get better would be the best solution right now.

I Honestly I prefer the A option bro the developers need a break they deserve it and i honestly will be the best Choose for beggers and impatient people and save some minor stuff to 6.1 like Rank system and other stuffs so i pick option A

I wanna know what you guys think, since there's going to be a ranking system (I didn't even know about this until yesterday unless I'm just dumb) you think there would be an E Rank? I've been looking through each game and I only see it within Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, and then Sonic Unleashed. Now that I think about how compatible is V6 like will he work with Day/Night Cycle with Werehog added? Personally, I just want chip following me. I'm seeing a bunch of options too I'm pretty sure I've seen this guy do a double jump while also being able to airdash but without the boost (If that makes sense) Btw I'm cool with whatever option you guys pick, whatever you think is best I hope if not most some of us will be mature about it and not cry over having to wait longer.

Pretty sure V5 already is compatible with that mod as well with the Werehog at night thanks to the night and day cycle affecting all Sonics. Though I believe the Werehog mod allows Chip to follow Modern Sonic too.

A is a good option, robtop did that with gd 2.2 once and it came out good, i dont see why msv6 cant do the same

Think about option A this way. IF we choose option A, we get rid of beggars for a while, we see a surge in srb2 related youtube content, and as stated, we will STILL get the content we wanted eventually!!

Oh! and devs and spriters get a well deserved break too!
