I really don’t see how trick finishers would help much with avoiding enemies. They’re already pretty easy to ignore. I mean I suppose it could be kinda useful in red volcano?

Literally just homing attack them
You could do that but you could also use jumpball to be safer and I was also thinking of red volcano

We are now approaching the month of June, Modern Sonic V6 is probably gonna come out this month. (Take this with a giant grain of salt)

To stay on topic though, will modern sonic have a custom end stage thing?(like when you complete a level in unleashed it gives you a rank and plays that jingle)

Nuh that's too much but there is support for goal ring mod or has a custom one.

well it prolly won't release on his birthday, cause the mods have to inspect it n stuff, and that can take up to a week at the most so it's not like he can just put it in the release forums on a certain day and have it release another, so my guess is it's gonna come out NEAR sonics birthday, before or after, idk.

...if you doubted the new move already enough, here's something that'll change your mind!

The humming top has custom gravity and really generous hitbox, here's an old example for you!!!
srb20780.gif

srb20780.gif
It's a move designed to preserve and compound off your current velocity, in any direction, and has significantly lower float decay than a normal jump (think the point in your jump where you "hang' a little!). While it does allow you to basically glide, it's all dependent on your initial velocity! Your air acceleration and air control are significantly decreased while in this state, so be attentive!!!! >:3

With great initial velocity, smart planning, and creativity, this move can allow you to effortlessly and swiftly soar over sections of a map. This move also scales with Ringspeed, the new core mechanic of v6!

I really wish I could let you all just go wild with the new moveset, but the mod isn't finished yet!!!
...might go over more of the new moves and mechanics, but for now, byeeeeee!!!!!!!! >_<

as always, he looks outstanding

but concern I kind of wanted to bring up for a while now; how much faster does sonic get with Ringspeed? Like if a level has a lot of rings he can collect--the increase in speed could be a concern in platforming or even general movement, right? Is there a limit on how much speed he can get with rings or...?

Gonna assume the speed cap will stop when he pretty much has the speed of speed shoes.

He gets faster every 30 rings I think.

Wait there are more?! I mean like more the the Sweet Spot Homing Attack and the Humming Top?!

Also how did you cancel the homing attack here??

Also these new falling sprites look SOO much better.

Did MetalWario64 or BlueBlur make it? Whoever it is you did so great!!

He can get fast alright!!!

Your topspeed (both running and boosting), airspeed, acceleration get increased per every 30 rings banked (losing rings doesn't equal losing ringspeed!!!), with your deceleration and air drag also being reduced in suit. More rings, higher velocity potential!. The exact cap is outrageously high, but it does rapidly diminish after 300+ rings, with every stat up giving rapidly diminishing returns. I wouldn't recommend trying to go past 300 unless you want the absolute max potential (even if slightly faster).

v6's custom physics allow you to maintain much higher topspeed without boosting, so don't be afraid of losing boost!!!! (if you somehow manage to >:3)

xtra note:

Ringspeed compounds with other speed increasers (speed shoes, super, etc.)

Is this multiplied/stacked on top of Super Sonic's enhancements? Like having 300 Rings as Super Sonic would give you double or even triple the ringspeed you'd get, for example. Super Sonic is already fast, but being able to master him at outrageous speeds would feel incredibly satisfying and rewarding, no doubt.
