Sol Sestancia 2

[Open Assets] Sol Sestancia 2 2024-09-22

This map pack is still as good as part 1, love how you can interact stuff in the egg tv studio level. Although it is good, this one has only one problem for me, for few bits of levels, it makes me say "Where am I suppose to go? Should I go there or here?" but anyways, it's still very good

Can you give me specific parts where you were confused, so I could possibly improve it in future updates?

Absolutely Great sequel to Sol Sestancia. This kind of pack is a one of a kind, you can really tell a lot of love and soul went into this pack. Gonna be marathon playing this one now right after playing the first one for those lazy afternoons. Can't wait for Part 3 in like 5 years, Great job!

Probably my favorite Map Pack ever made on Sonic Robo Blast 2 (unless Sol Sestancia 3 is somehow even better), everything came together in this very moment of the story, from the story, from the levels that are more bigger and open space than the first part, from the music that has some original music here, and of course, there are many more cameos that'll surprise you.

If you like Rogerregorroger's wacky style and you're looking to play something reminiscent to his old school animations from 2000s/2010s, then this is your map pack.

Dude when I saw the "to be continued" screen at the end I damn near ripped my hair out

Jokes aside this is a phenomenal sequel with some really nice environments, I love the chase sequence in Alcudia Port and the stages under the mountain (I forgot what it was called ;-;)

I love the pseudo hub stage too, Knothole Village. Very similar to how Alcudia Port served as a hub world in part 1 but I feel like it's done a million times better here

The only critique I have of this pack is how laggy Robotropolis and the first stage are. Don't get me wrong, I know you tried your best to optimise them and it was much more of an issue in the beta versions (matter of fact, I had a *very* old beta once upon a time and the first stage was practically uncompletable due to the sheer amount of lag), but it is still kind of an issue. I was still able to complete both stages though, albeit with great frustration. If anything can be done about it in future updates this'll be basically perfect

Best SRB2 level campaign ever made. So much depth and exploration that can be done, and the sheer amount of effort put into every little nook and cranny is amazing. I love the scripted segments, it brings stuff to the game that no other levels have. It's just so COOL. The fact is has real voice-acting is crazy too. Great voice-acting too! The jokes are funny too, very rare for an SRB2 mod, this pack has a great sense of humor lol. yeah so basically in general 10/10 literally can't be beaten.

These levels are really fun to run through, some of the gimmicks like the branches are pretty fun when you get the hang of it. The voice of Robotnik really fits his AOSTH version. I really have nothing else to say other than how much I can't believe how much effort you'd have to put in stuff like the textures, I just REALLY can't wait for part 3, Maybe some kind of lock-on combination for the full series like how Sugoi did?

Just finished the entire thing and MAN, you impressed me again, Roger.
This level-pack absolutely amazing, to the level design, voicing acting and even the story, all just oozes your unique creativity, I like seeing from your previous works, 10/10. I'm looking forward to seeing how you wrap up this story in the next one!

This is one of the most insanely passionate pieces of artwork and extensive experiences I have ever seen made for this game.

While unpolished in places, there's an unmistakable artistry to everything presented in here. The attention to detail, all the wacky scenarios and crazy level shifts, how every imaginable object and level setpiece is interactable, the god damn VOICE ACTING. There was a very defined vision for this level pack, and the execution is beyond impressive. I enjoyed exploring every nook and cranny of these levels. This is one of those level packs for the ages that will be remembered for years.

This is outstanding, on the verge of perfection. What it needs is polish in places to tie the experience together. Oftentimes my immersion was broken by weird teleports, the timing of setpieces being awkard and off. Level geometry is often haphazard and jagged, which can look thrown together, and textures (especially floors) end up being misaligned in a very jarring way.

I can't wait to see how you wrap the plotline for this. Godspeed, Roger. Welcome to Releases!
