Livin the Dream is a moveset mod that tries to be as original as possible. This mod is probably also one of the fastest mods you've ever played, so ig I'll just go through all of the moves.
Sonic is the fastest and most potential having of all the characters, with all of his moves flowing into eachother allowing mad horizontal speed.
His first move is the dropdash, letting him charge up a spindash in air by holding spin. This blasts him off upon hitting the floor and he can stack dropdashes together to get extreme speed.
His second move is a walljump, allowing him to jump off walls while keeping all of his speed. This is done by holding spin and jump in air.
His final move is one he can only use while super, letting him blast off into the air at a predetermined path. This can be done by rolling and then pressing back, then holding forward or back to aim up or down. Can be cancelled with spin.
All of these moves combined lets sonic speedrun levels at speeds unimaginable to the other characters. He just requires a lot of practice.
With update 1.3 coming out, Sonic has gotten a new move to help with his lack of verticallity called the backhop!
The backhop is activated by pressing and holding jump after a jump. This redirects all your momentum to behind your camera direction and gives you vertical height. Letting go or holding on for too long ends the move and cancels your extra z momentum. This can't be done more than once in air and can not be recharged.

Knuckles' first ability is to glide. This acts almost the same to the vanilla's glide, but you don't skid upon landing and you gain speed faster.

All of this lets Knuckles' soar through the air nice and quickly without the downsides that'd you'd usually see.

From a who to a character, Fang finally gets added to the pack with his own moveset! His speed and verticallity coming in the same move.

Metal Sonic is meant to be the perfect match for Sonic, a carbon copy. His moves show this by having the same restrictions as Sonic while being able to keep up with his pace.
