[Open Assets] foxBot! ExAI-based Multiplayer Coop Bots 1.8

As good as a bot co-op mod for any game can get. Works pretty good and is decently compatible with most characters( even Gamma, which really surprised me), even if the bots can be a bit silly. Easy 5/5.

Tip for anyone who wants to use 2011x with this: just add "if target.type == MT_SONICEXE" in a new line before "if (ignoretargets & 1 == 0)" and just change that line to "or (ignoretargets & 1 == 0)" and then the bots'll actually try to hit him and not just sometimes accidentally free you when they respawn.

This mod is so good, with the ability to swap characters and the improved AI. Its so awesome, also I found a bug but it was funny :]

I haven't seen anybody talk about this, but for some reason, they can follow and help you in the special stage. This is just a minor thing, but i'd rather keep it than have it removed. Overall, great mod, maybe this could be improved on (platforming, race mode, all that good stuff), though, I'm not sure if this is still being worked on. Very impressive ai, though I never get to see it in action too much, as it just teleports to me even though its not even that far away, and they can platform to me in less than 3 jumps.

Very good mod, Even with the most recent updates to the game, it still works properly. The only problem is that the bots sometimes turn into Super, but it’s a minor issue.

Absolutely incredible mod! It's very advanced and has lots of options you can mess around with. 100% recommend it.

Great mod! I just wish it had BuddyEx's "Team Sonic" option, and that swapping characters was easier.

Just by watching the GIFs attached, I can tell this mod is revolutionary. With such complex behaviors, it definitely outmatches BuddyEX. Great work! I do hope to see further updates if you plan to do those.

This is defiantly one of the best mods ive seen for srb2. My only problem is that the bots like to transform in to super and won't change back. idk if there's an override combination that helps with this but either way, 10/10 mod.

This mod... is absolutely outstanding.

Never before have I ever thought, "Wow, this AI plays like an actual player at times," because the teamwork that they can perform with you surprises me everytime.

I even had a moment where I was combo bopping badniks in Greenflower Zone Act 2, and when I ran out of enemies to hit, Tails came flying right in and snatched me right out of the air so that I can find others to continue my combo, something that I've NEVER seen happen before.

I honestly believe that this is revolutionary, and if any more changes happen in the future to allow the AI to synergize itself more with the player, then this will automatically be the best addon to ever be created for Sonic Robo Blast 2.

this feature is really cool man! ngl its quite fun playing with bots. i just have an issue tho, everytime i try to use the command setbot, i can't really add a leader is there something i did wrong or anything? but overall really good

Excellent, never play without it. The bots are obviously great and get seem to get the most attention, (and I certainly remember being shocked at what a killing machine Tails is,) but the character switching is the really great thing. It's absolutely great to be able to swap characters between yourself and your bot on the fly, especially with mod stages or a source of randomization.

Also it mostly made Kirby stop eating me in Encore mode. Mostly.

Spawned Whisper the Wolf, she tried stomping a crawla four times only to give up and shoot it point-blank. Perfect.

It looks good and the rest of the people are saying its rlly good but, when i use “addbot” it doesnt work, is there a reason for that?

which set of commands do need to make the bot play in matches, ctf etc?

This is by far the best bot mod I have seen. I love how the bots really look like players, with path finding logic and enemy bopping. I recommend you make a command where instead of the bots following you in a line, which is one bot just following the other up to yourself, they can all follow the just the player, which would make having a bunch of bots easier for them to catch up to the player.
