After many months of work, I am proud to announce my first release: Chaos Pack!
This map pack adds 10 additional levels to CobaltBW's Chaos Mode!

Note: For the best experience, it is highly recommended to use OpenGL Rendering if possible.

Included Maps:

Aquatic Ruin Zone
(Overhauled in version 1.1)
Take down Egg Capsules and badniks in amphibious style.
Be mindful of nearby bubble patches and water shields!

Station Square
Chaos has descended upon Station Square once again!
Thankfully the city's flood insurance policy will not be necessary this time.

BobOmb Battlefield
Put Koopa the Quick to shame and run to the top of the mountain with Super Sonic speed!
Grab a fireflower to gain the upper hand on the enemies!

Sand Castle Zone
(New map as of version 1.1)
Battle your way through hordes of badniks as you're trapped in a quicksand arena!
Utilize the zoom tubes to quickly go between floors and plot an efficient path!

Snowy Slopes Zone
A fun day at the slopes has turned into a nightmare!
Take the lifts and wind through the caves to stop Eggman!

A remote lake found among some ruins that have been lost to time.
Use the rubble to your advantage to stop it from becoming Eggman's latest environmental catastrophe!

Floral Field Zone
The first special stage re-work for Chaos Mode!
I thought the interesting and elaborate layout of this zone would be fun to run around and fight enemies in.

Block Fort
The classic battle map from Mario Kart 64 is filled to the brim with badniks!
Be careful of the limited number of rings on this map!

Explore the different pathways to zoom around the map quickly!

Ricco Harbor
After battling through the previous maps, Sonic and friends thought a beach vacation would be great!
But there's no escaping the chaos, even at Isle Delfino's scenic port.
Use the springs and the vertical momentum of the water to launch yourself across the map!

This pack also works nice with The Chaos Jam for a bigger map rotation and more difficult enemies!

  • Targets on Ghastly Hollow Zone will not spawn correctly if 'ChL_Shotzo-v1.0.pk3' and 'ChL_Splats-v1.0.pk3', included with Chaos Mode, are not loaded into the game.
  • Ghastly Hollow Zone will throw warnings regardless when spawning targets for the first wave.

These maps are great, although I noticed a strange bug regarding the HUD as well as the icons on the map, as well as one crash.

In some maps such as Station Square, it seems like the HUD pointing you towards enemy locations (including on the map) are slightly offset for some reason. They're either underneath or off towards the side of where they really are, occasionally leading me to run towards a wrong path.

In Ghastly Hollow, I experienced a crash for dying to a death pit for some reason. Admittedly I forgot to screencap the error, but it said something about an abort?

PS: Loved the interactibility with the blocks in Bob-Omb Battlefield, especially felt great with the super mario addon.

Hey, these maps are pretty good! really great work all around! ..At least, if you're not in software. Some maps seem too big for the game to handle with some servers, and a bunch of skyboxes seem to either bug out entirely or just dont show up, which really needs looking into.

..But PLEASE, optimize your music files. It's what's causing the whole thing to bulk up in size, which even exceeds maxsend when connecting to a server. If you happen to have Audacity on you, or some other audio editing software, try converting the OGG files to quality 0 to lower each OGG filesize.
Some of these music files seem be longer than they should be when looping, which might be effecting the filesize as well. Try trimming some audio or use LOOPMS on a shorter music file to help with this!

What a pleasant surprise, new chaos content! Really loved the visual & music choices for some of the stage's "act 2" transitions. While the maps are a bit jank feeling at times, this is a very good pack for those who are looking for extra chaos maps. Looking forward to your next work

Really awesome we get new maps for Chaos mode, and most of them look amazing, I love the amount of detail in Ricco harbor and Station Square.
Nice amount of space and dynamic area's, great to race around in.
Great work here.
In Software mode, the backgrounds are glitching, but in OpenGL it works great.
