The slot machine you know from Sonic 2's Casino Night Zone and the Sonic & Knuckles bonus stage for your mapping asset needs. Just place the lumps contained in this file in your WAD/PK3 and you'll have Thing 4000 - Slot Machine Gather Point ready to use in Zone Builder.

Payouts:
1 Bar: 2 rings
2 Bar: 4 rings
Full Bar: 8 rings
Full Ring: 10 rings
Full Character: 20 rings, 30 if it's the character you're playing as
1 Jackpot + 2 Bar: 4 rings
2 Jackpot + 1 Bar: 8 rings
1 Jackpot + 2 Ring: 20 rings
2 Jackpot + 1 Ring: 40 rings
1 Jackpot + 2 Character: 40 rings, 60 if it's the character you're playing as
2 Jackpot + 1 Character: 80 rings, 120 if it's the character you're playing as
Full Jackpot: 100 rings
1 Eggman + 2 Jackpot/2 Eggman + 1 Jackpot/Full Eggman: Lose 100 rings

Another small update - the camera no longer tries to pan away in 2D mode. This one might not be as necessary for everyone to get but since it's for this script's intended use I submitted it anyway ~

Dust devils having a carry type introduced a weird bug I didn't expect to happen, so here's an update with a couple fixes that I pretty much ignored for a long time. Enjoy!
 
I hope people use this to make some Casino stages. SRB2 is sorely lacking, both in the official levels and mods!
 
mhh... the secret boss from Star Fox sure looks different...
jkjk i really like this, it gives the ability to replicate Casino Night
 
In order to use this, do I need to put it in a specific folder, through Slade, or by some other means?

I'm interested in utilizing this tool, but I am new to level editing. Thanks!

You must download the file and then click Tools> Game Configurations> Select SRB2 2.2> Add Resources> Choose which file resolution you need (in this case - pk3)> Select the path where is what you wanted to add.

Keep in mind. This way you added the addon to the Zone Builder itself, not to the map folder. This means that if you run the map through an addon in the game, then the addon will not be available. If you want to add to the map itself, then you must open the file with the map through any zip editor (SLADE recommended) and upload the files there.

Cool. And through uploading this resource to the game using that method, if I were to create my own level people who play my level would be able to engage in the slot machine resource no issue, correct?

By adding a resource via ZB, you are adding this resource for yourself. so that you can use it directly in ZB. but to add to the game, you must open your .wad / .pk3 file (depending on which format you use) and place these files there according to the rules.

Check it out on the wiki. .pk3, Wad editor and .wad.

Here's an example of what a .wad file looks like. Scripts are located here, as well as sprites and files for a custom item. At the bottom there are two levels (everything did not fit into the screenshot). absolutely EVERYTHING is located in one file.

Any chance this could be updated to address the P_teleport issue introduced by recent revisions of SRB2?
