[Open Assets] Nick's Tower of Pizza Pack! V2B2 Patch 3

Peppino is a SMS level threat. I also played it at 640x300. If I accelerated even more my brain would fry on spot. I also got 1:05 at normal window size. (help)

This silly guy might be the best speedrun character in SRB2
Those boost pads - is there any specific way to avoid them making you lose all your speed at the end of their boosts, or do I somehow have a personalized copy?

I noticed that since this update, Peppino (And the noise) are unable to interact with walls that aren't created by a sector. So you can't climb walls that are going all the way up to the celling. Is this the intended effect? Because it was kinda bugging me since I noticed it.

Actually, it may very well be related to Anti-Knuckles walls. There's a few ceiling-height walls Peppino and The Noise can actually climb in GFZ that I've seen myself.

And unfortunately, in the vanilla campaign, there's far too many anti-Knuckles walls.

I'm not sure which boost pads you're talking about, but I know that [force spin] boosters force you back into mach 1 killing all your speed.

I'm 100% sure that wall climbing has some paranormal stuff going for it. At one point I can climb a wall, and when I stop touching it, I'm magically unable to climb it. And I checked it with Knuckles too, he can climb that wall like every other.

I'm assuming this is meant to be played in tandem with Nick's Pizza time..
As the Noise I grabbed pillar John, threw him into the void.. and pizza time didn't start.. So basically, I softlocked myself. I think. I didn't test it.

ptv2 is discontinued lol

Hey there, I found some bugs.

1. Local Multiplayer Jumping Issue
In local multiplayer, if you use two characters from the same mod (either Gustavo, The Noise or Peppino) they will do a kind of synchronized jump if one of the players presses the jump button (I only know that it happens on the keyboard).
This does not affect whether one player is from the mod and another is external (For example: Sonic and Peppino, Tails and The Noise).
This makes platforming a little awkward and I prefer not to play two mod characters because of this with my brothers.

2. Characters' speed is not maintained when touching a "populsor" (idk how the game call this things). [Maps: OLDC_2023Round1-v.1.5 - Radiant Reverie, SCL_SonicAdventureDX-v3.1.1b - I dunno the name of the city].
By boosters, I mean the gray devices that give Sonic a boost. With this mod, characters seem to slow down and start running from 0. For now, my method to fix this is to dodge them.
In the original game, as I understood from a friend, Peppino never brakes. Or rather, he increases his speed, breaking his limit. This means that the more thrusters he presses without stopping running, the faster he goes even if you have set a limit.

In this second capture (split screen only to choose the area), thrusters are used to gain speed and thus make a springboard jump. You can notice how it brakes in each corner.

3. Speed Script [Maps: OLDC_2023Round1-v.1.5 - Radiant Reverie]
This might just be this map, I'm not sure. So I don't know if it even counts. I only know that neither June Sonic nor Mario are affected in such a way.
I don't know how this is programmed, but I have a theory that how speed changes work affects speed boosts and how the maps react to the characters' speed.
In this case (in addition to the power-ups previously seen), this map has sections with rainbow transitions in which the character is transported. If you walk with Peppino or another character, it works great. On the other hand, if you go at a high speed with them, their operation fails.
Anyway, because it is compatible with other characters like Mario64 and JunioSonic, I don't know if it's the level or it's the character. Anyway, I add it as an extra.

4. Vertical "wind" trampolines??? [Map: SCL_SonicAdventureDX-v3.1.1b - Wind Valley]
Peppino does not bounce strongly, nor do I know whether to consider it a bug or an error. The only thing he does is keep bouncing infinitely downwards with force instead of making some kind of big jump.

I want to add that, although Peppino does not increase his speed with Dash Panels, it does when scaling objects. Find or create a map where Peppino climbs multiple times. It will go extremely fast without needing a boost.

For now, I notice the difference first by going at maximum speed. Then I climb twice (first a big wall and then a small one) and end up being extremely fast.

Can anyone let me know how to super jump? In the actual game you use the up button but what would be the equivalent for that in SRB2?

CUSTOM1- Grab
CUSTOM2- Down actions
CUSTOM3- Up actions (You can super jump with this. :D)

We need an update that fixes the turning.

Rather I mean a quickturn ability for the characters so we don't have that lag that completely destroys all momentum

how do i do the deep sea 2 part where you spindash? peppino can't spindash or do i turn around?
