It seems that many mods DO need rewrites for the new update. My bad.

I haven't played it yet, only seen footage, but it seems Sonic (and probably others) has a dedicated skidding sprite now, rather than using 1 frame of the jogging animation?

msv6 already has a skidding sprite.

The modern sonic dev team is probably in close contact with stjr. if they add anything new to updates, i think they warn the devs beforehand.
