I made this back when Modern's resprite was starting. I of course prefer Uekawa but the games use the model renders as the face of the games and even the IDW art tends to look more model inspired, as well as the new Shadow animation. It wasn't my choice so the resprite is as you see it, Uekawa based.
Honestly it kinda felt like after I made SA Sonic there was an explosion of people wanting to make Uekawa style sprites for SRB2 which I guess I wear as a badge of honor.
