[Open Assets] Many Minor Tweaks 6.3

Just wanted to report a bug I ran across. When you have the special ring animation turned on and finish a stage with a token, or finish the NiGHTS stage, if you press/hold spin you'll hear a really fast repeating version of the spin charge sound effect

v6.2 - The return of Cancel Super

SRB2 v2.2.14 just dropped... and it seems STJR changed their mind at the very last second about making "Cancel Super" an official feature. So, here I am, putting it back into Many Minor Tweaks.

Full changelog:
  • The new "Shield Button" has been added for settings that check for key inputs, of course, only on 2.2.14.
  • Re-added "Cancel Super" button; SRB2 v2.2.14 didn't include this change, despite it being in the pre-releases... so it's back!
  • Fixed Angle Stand preserving...

I'd like to report a weird bug, basically all you have to do is turn on 'Run on Water' and set 'RoW Speed' to '15', then you quit and after you come back your Spin Steering will act like it's set to 0 and you'll no longer be able to Uncurl while also not being able to open the MMT menu with the custom3 key. after turning off RoW everything goes back to normal.
notice how RoW Speed is set to "nil" during the glitch.

A new patch for SRB2 came out, and it removed the Shield/Super button entirely. Is there a way you can bring it back? Or, if not, can you add the option to map Shield Abilities to a different button (like Custom1/2/3)? Also, can you add an option for button mapping to pressing both Jump and Spin (for Tails' Drop Ball) or either Jump or Spin (for the Recurl)?

I've discovered that this glitch also makes Knuckles' gliding animation become his jumping animation for some reason, but only some of the time:

v6.2.1 - shield button is gone :(

They removed the shield button, so this is just a minor fix to prevent any weird issues that may be caused by this mod checking for a button that doesn't exist. It will just check if the "BT_SHIELD" variable exists, so if you're using a fork that re-enables it, you should be good.

Next update I'll re-add the super button, since... well, they removed that feature. Ugh.

Oh, and I also fixed a bug if you're on any versions that don't have the shield button, sorry about that.

I just checked and I know what the problem is, and I feel dumb that this is a problem in the first place lol. It'll be fixed in the next version.

Hey all, so, v2.2.15 of SRB2 removed the Shield Button entirely... which is ashame since I didn't include the Super Key from previous versions explicitly because I thought this would be an official feature now. But alas, it'll be a thing in v2.3 instead. So, it's returned! This mod is also now compatible with SRB2 v2.2.1, because why not? Read the changelog for more info!

  • "Super Button" has been implemented, a cleaner implementation of "Super Key"...

There's a problem I've had since the super button got added. Idk how to explain this properly, but I'll give an example to understand a little. So in-game, I've set my super button and cancel super on the same bind "custom1". It works as intended but when I press the spin button mid-air, it transforms me into super (I forgot to note that I've set "spin" for recurl.) Now it could be the mod or something else I haven't considered.

In the latest update when I go into a special stage Super Sonic doesn't change colors.

Edit: This applies for all characters, not just Super Sonic.

yooo amazing mod. Do you think you can add an addition to the classic shields option? Like changing it so only SOME of the shields get replaced. And a value to change how frequent it is. That would be cool ngl. Pretty sure theres a mod that does that already but you can't adjust the frequency and it's in a pack.

OOOO Also. Would be cool to add a toggle for SCD spring twirl for only power springing. Like with amys hammer. But thats just me
 
Im not sure if this is just me but seems there's a problem with the new version when using in netplay, sometimes the settings don't save and other times other people including myself end up getting the settings from other people too
 
Great mod! I love being able to cancel transformations.
Would it be possible to also cancel the Sol transformation from the Rush Characters mod?
 
Amazing mod, it's basically a must have for me now!
However, it seems the mod messes with Charmy from Chaotixchars, I can't use his extra jumps while MMT is loaded. I've tried turning several options on and off but nothing seems to fix it.
