Hmm... Why not?

I first found SRB2 via Softonic (what outdated crap they have). IIRC, it was 2.0.6, and I never knew about the community, the constant development of the game, and basically everything. In fact, that may have been my first unintentional interaction with Doom. But I didn't understand a damn thing about anything really. Now, I know pretty much a lot about WADs, handling them, etc. SOCs and LUA are a separate thing though.

Sometime in the future, I'll release some maps/mods for SRB2 (I'm currently limited in terms of hardware), but until then, I'll be waiting. Right here in these forums.

I've been wanting to post here but i was too lazy and distracted to do it, but i'm now gonna do that.

Hi! i'm NeoLucario, but you can simply call me Lucario, i used to go with names such as "FuriousDragon", "TheBuizelFan" (Scrapped name) and "NeonBuizel", i used to roleplay as a pokemon but not anymore because i was pretty dumb back then, i changed names because they sounded like other people's and i was trying to avoid people that thought i was someone else. As of now i'm trying to learn how to use Zone Builder and hope to make good maps, I found SRB2 while i was watching random videos on youtube while i saw an SRB2 video in 2.0 with a Tails Doll mod in it, after some years i remembered the game and slapped the download onto my Computer. And as of now i play SRB2 really often, i mainly use Tails because he's my favorite character of the Sonic Series. I hope to have a good time here in the MB!

Final (maybe) Edit: My name was originally going to be OrangeSpark87 but someone already beat me to it, true story, i'm not copying. I just completely forgot about this.

Hi am new here GameUpower's the name I have loved this game ever since it came out and I hope we can all be friends :)

Introducing myself.

Hi,
My Default nickname is davee0, but at games you can see me as H2mt (yes, I am that cringy medium bastard). Sorry that was off-topic.
My hobbies are games and making games projects (like modifications to games). I work often with Doom engine (as Mapper, Artist, Autist or even Programmer, But I am far from that.) at my free-time.

My favorite Id Tech 1 fan game is Sonic Robo Blast 2. I spent countless hours at this game. First time when I tried out SRB2 I was just 8-10 years old. Srb2 was just at Final Demo phase (1.09.4) and I loved .wads or .socs that was posted on this forum or main website. Now it’s my third return to this game and still I love that development progress of this game. And I know for sure I will return for fourth time when 2.2 come out. Sorry for my odd English, I am getting worse at it and I even don't know why.

Hullo. I'm Tapika. Why was the introduction fourm locked? Mystic have no spam topics to lock, so he locked a fourm? J/K
Anyways, I'm 10 today <:D
I've made quite a few friends In my stay...
Holy shit you've come a LONNNNNNNG way!

Anyways, I'm Greenknight9000 (Aka ThomasTheHedgehog888 ingame)
I've been a LONG TIME player of SRB2 ever since 2008 or something
I'm always positive and more than happy to help others whenever I can! (Though, in SRB2 Match I can be a little competitive sometimes)
I do have a few mental issues like ADHD and Autism but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this fantastic fanbase that's known as the SRB2 Community!
I hope I'll come with an idea so amazing it'll be in future SRB2 versions!

Hello.

The name's Flare957, but in most places, I use the name HyperFlare957.
I got into SRB2 somewhere during 2.0's lifetime thanks to a certain youtuber *cough* MegaGWolf *cough*

Hey folks.

My name is Speed Demon, SD for short.
It's obvious that I registered here because I like SRB2 and Sonic in general.
I've been playing this game for a year maybe..
So, yeah. Hi..

I think I better reintroduce myself, as it's been... Way too long since I was last active here.

I'm ah2190, otherwise known as Auro. I started playing and doing stuff for SRB2 about ten years ago, and I was a very vivid supporter for race modes, especially Kart. In fact, I'm possibly most infamous in the past for the tricky Kart map which was White Land 3.

I have done some Computer Games courses at University, but I ended up dropping out due to not being as focused with regards to the coursework. The exams I did ace, but that was the main letdown for me. And I focused a lot on the programming, as I will admit my main weakness is art - in fact, while I was at school, an incident led to me dropping Art, which led to me becoming more interested in computers as I normally used them during when I would had been in Art had I stayed on.

I tend to have big ideas at times, but trying to get them done is another thing. I'm half-decent at map making, but I don't feel like I'm anywhere near OLDC levels. And I sometimes get easily distracted.

I think it's a bit too late for this, but...

Hi. I'm Murilo (I really need a new username) and i'm from Brazil. I'm 14 and this is my last fundamental year. My biggest interest is playing games on my Computer (Too bad i don't have my own phone). I came to be part of the SRB2 Community since the year of 2.1 and sometime later i made this account.

Mentlegen...

Hello everybody, I am The Extreme Gamer. I'm a man. I've been a huge Sonic fan since I got my Genesis. I've been a big SRB2 fan since 2011 - 2013. I am an composer [If you count 5 second riffs], an artist, a wannabe animator, and some other things.

iDragon, the newest Apple product, introduces themselves

(Oh my god it's been so long since I was last here. I need to re-introduce myself...)

(NOTE: All of this is at the time of writing.)

Hello, everyone. I'm known as Inferno Dragon here, and I'm also rather well-known for all the bad things. It's really not something to be proud of. I currently want to change my name here, because that's a far outdated name that counts as part of the "bad things" mentioned earlier. In case you can't tell by my name and profile picture, I'm a fan of Clash Royale! I'm a dedicated and specialist Clasher with a wide understanding of most aspects of the game, although I haven't quite reached the last Arena yet. (I'm at the second-last Arena right now... It's a long way up!)

My favoured nickname is iDragon, although you can call me Inferno, ID, Inferno Drag or anything like that. I got into SRB2 around five to six years ago, in the 2.0.6 phase. I've only been netgaming for one to two years, though, and I absolutely suck at ringslinger modes. I try to get better and hit about one in twenty Rail Rings, because that seems to be the only thing anyone cares about in Match. My favourite weapon is NOT the Rail, but in fact the Grenade and Explosion rings. My all-time favourite weapon, though, is none other than the Red Ring of Death.

I like to use Zone Builder to try to make maps. Recently, I've begun investigating Match maps and sprite art. Otherwise, I just pop into servers for no reason at all and have a chat and occasionally participate in a game. When I'm not on SRB2, I could be doing one of way too many things to list. I'm also one of the most random people ever, so don't be surprised if I seem awkward. It's perfectly normal to get that impression. And yes, this is an example of the terrible jokes I'm always trying to make.

If you want to change your name, you just have to send a PM to one of the admins to do that for you (that is, the people with purple usernames, and not me since I'm just a moderator). It's no problem to do so on their part as far as I know.

In any case welcome back! ...I don't actually not sure what bad things you're referring to, I'm sure it can't be that bad though?

Hello Everyone,

I usually go by, "Super Phanto" as that is the name of my email. It bugged me when this Message Board would not allow me to have said username. The profile creation page said: "That username is already in use or does not meet the administrator's standards."
Now, I think I might have had an account here, but I was never sure. All I know is that "Super Phanto" is my username and mine alone (as far as I know, that is). Anywhere you look I shall be known as Super Phanto. So, I don't know if I had an account here, but if an Admin Can find it, terminate it, and rename "Fang the Weasle" to "Super Phanto", I would be SO thankful.
I have no clue as to what these "administrator's standards" are, so if someone can PM me a link, that would also be helpful.

Now for the good stuff:
  • I have been a sonic fan for quite some time now. I get my preorder of Sonic Mania (Steam) in three days from typing this, and I am super hyped!
  • I am currently a Sophomore in High School and hope to one day have my own 1st party game company up with the likes of Nintendo, Sony, And Microsoft.
  • I was born on October 5th, 2001 in Maryland, Where I was hastily moved to PA. Despite this, I had my first experiences with my Dad's Atari 2600, my Mom's Nintendo Entertainment System, my Uncle's Sega Master System, and A LOT of Namco TV Plug 'n' Play games. My memory of others is pretty foggy, But seeing as these are my fondest, it is my firm belief that these are fantastic places to start.
The consoles I have owned that I can remember AND their status (not in this order):
  1. Atari 2600 (Broken and/or lost)
  2. Nintendo Entertainment System (Working)
  3. Super Nintendo (Working)
  4. Nintendo GameBoy (Lost)

  14. New Nintendo 3DS (Working, Not XL, Came with Super Mario 3D Land installed, which I already had a cartridge for :\ )

  22. PSone (Working)

TL;DR

What? You didn't read it? Well, then READ IT!!! It took me 2 hours to post this. Maybe More.

Unlike school where you're padding out for five paragraphs, in real life writing, your goal is to say things with as few words as possible. This is because nobody is going to read a novel whereas a paragraph is much better.

"Super Phanto" is against the rules because whenever a major release happens, hundreds of kids would sign up with names like "SuperSonicRulez" and "& Knuckles The Super-Werechidsune". Basically, the admins have word-filtered "Super" amongst many other Sonic-franchise words; the username "Phanto" by itself wouldn't fall afoul of things.

If there was another "Super Phanto" from before the filter was put in place, though, they wouldn't terminate that account just so you could have it. Gotta get creative! You never know when someone might come back from a long leave of absence.

I understand that. The TL;DR section was a joke. If someone didn't want to read it, then that's fine. Though now that I think about it, I really should have explained that in the first place...

Okay, I can see that happening. What I was trying to say is that "Super Phanto" may have been my account. Maybe "S. Phanto" would work?

Hey, I'm Mhx Air.
I've started playing SRB2 about 16 years ago, and I believe I joined the forum in 2010, but that was 7 years ago, and I was some dumb kid, so I wiped my account and requested a name update (pending).
Now I'm a dumb adult, and I enjoy spriting, digital and traditional arts, minor game development and design, as well as being a parkour enthusiast that's addicted to athleticism.

I'm currently building a Pi3 and found a nice port to debian Linux, so here I am after all these years checking out the updates, running v2.1.1.9. I'll have to look into how this port works, since there are way less files than I remember, but I did manage to get a Shadow.wad to load. (Great was btw, better than the one I had years ago. I'll be looking into remapping chaos control to custom button 2, and reinstalling lightdash like in the old builds.)

If anyone has any wads or Lua I should look into, let me know. The game seems almost completely different from the old build I had on my Windows ME. I'll get back into relearning Lua and building wads. I did make an attempt years ago, but maybe there's a newer program for it.

Looking forward to the future of SRB2, and glad to see it still being healthily maintained.

Hello, I'm Logan McCloud, aka Hyperchaotix.

I first played SRB2 when I was 12 iirc and loved it. Came back to it more recently between animation work and fell in love with it all over again, especially all the new content. I started making my own SRB2 content and realized I should probably join the forums if I want to post a release of it.

I'm a bit socially anxious, so I'm not always the best at responding, but I'm doing my best to overcome that. I look forward to showing you guys some stuff.

Welcome to the forums! Don't worry, we assholes aren't as scary as we look. You might also hop onto #srb2fun if you're looking to jump into a quick conversation with anyone. (The 50 people who sit there may or may not be at the keyboard at any given moment)

Hello! I'm a fan of SRB2 since 2010, it was one of my favorite games to play during my late childhood/early teenage years. I took a break from the game when I was at the point where I had played the game (and notable mods) and wanted to make new content for myself, but didn't have the focus nor the skillset to do so. Now that I have a little bit of software development experience and have made some content in other game engines, I hope I can change that now!

I've most recently dabbled in the SMW hacking and SMBX scene (spoilers, they make some pretty cool stuff), so I might try making content for SRB2 in the same vein of level design if I can. See y'all around!
