Yup, island cross from SS2 is a good example.
First thing I would do is test him out with his gameplay then I would try and complete the vanilla campaign. Only then I'll begin to use modded levels like Sol Sestancia 2 or even Angel Island Tour by trying to speedrun them. He may just be one of the characters I'll play the most like Adventure.
I like to use the vanilla campaign for getting a feel of new characters then i use them in custom stages etc.
vanilla campaign, or maps with gs grindrails.
Speaking of Grind Rails, that mod is gonna push SRB2 levelpacks to new heights.
