something feels so wrong about the posing of this run animation particularly
he looks kinda stiff and goofy sincerely

my particular recommendation is to "stretch" the spikes like the new boost sprites, helps give a better feeling that he is going fast, maybe also bring his two legs closer, I think the reason he looks kinda silly it's because he's so wide

Reminds me of (And let all Sonic Fans forgive me for this) The Double Boost animation in Forces, Sonic's base run, Then him with his fists closed, Slightly moved in arms for his boost, And then Double Boost, Leaning forward pretty hard, Tightened leg position, Arms UP. I wish they'd Move the spines inward slightly, Arms lean in, Legs move closer like you say, And lean a bit forward.

As long as it doesn't take any work from a non-reusable source, it should be fine.
I believe it's allowed to make separate mods that add things on top of other mods regardless of their reusability.

However, modifying the Modern Sonic mod itself (or any non-reusable mod) is not allowed.
