Racing Spork against his own mod using a different Sonic!
Kinda silly and just a fun way to playtest things, and is unreasonably (and stupidly) competitive!

Here's his run with v6 (clocked an 11.02)

My run, with SA-Sonic v1.8b (clocked an 11.00)

That's a SINGLE frame of time difference, and Spork's run took like a hour to do (lol)
Here's his reaction to me running 1 frame faster than him >w<

Which one of us is winning? (This is still ongoing :3)
jeez i just realised how slow moderns boost is, could be a bit faster since it just feels strange for it to be THAT slow, im not talking sms speeds but a little buff to its speed could be a bit better

Why don't his quills move while running? Just wondering.

It does actually, just only a bit.
Look at the back angle for a bit, you can notice it right?
It's wayyy more clear on MotorRoach's twitch stream.

What a coincidence that a friend of mine and I have done the same thing before (with v5 obviously)

The lag didn't help me much so I lost X'D

wait, how fast could he go? say, 1.5x as fast as normal sonic?

without boosting, by the way
Normal running topspeed, acceleration, and airspeed can reach velocities compared to you boosting with speedshoes if you want to have a perspective. Rings will be extremely important for reaching high velocities, with the only downside that you only start seeing any major difference past 125+ rings.

k, hoping off for the night, byeeee >w<

Again, Thank you for your radical explanation of this information! We truly are excited to see how speedruns are done now!

Do I really need that button?... Nahhhh

Don't even ask how I'm even standing in the air

Motdspork will soon adapt to your movements just you wait :knuxsmug:

wait, since super sonic was never able to be used in unleashed but is usable in v6, would the ring drain affect boost speed?
Collecting rings to each milestone will "level up" your topspeed and acceleration (both normal and boosted), once you reach a milestone you keep it (unless you are hit or die). You reach a "level" each 30 rings, and iirc this caps somewhere around 350 rings (don't quote me on this though).

Simply put? NO! >w<

Lol! You are such a little info-gremlin! You're like the Omochao we always wanted! :shitsfree:
