How do you apply MMT’s menu options to player 2 in splitscreen? My little brother and I love to play together splitscreen, we were wondering how to use these settings on him. Also does anyone know wha the screen is dark?

How do you enable certain features?

The only thing I know so far is to enter "mmtmenu" into the console, but what else do I do? I'm really confused on how to interact with the features.

Nvmd, I figured it out, but I don't know how to delete messages so I'm just doing this.

i ran into a problem, whenever a character goes super and floats (for example adventure sonic) they go into their falling state when moving quickly

I also ran into a problem, "Dark.lua" doesn't work with this loaded as well (doesn't matter if it's loaded before or after it in the mod list, the result is still the same)

here's the link to the "Dark.lua" mod in question:

Heads up, at least as of current prerelease, 2.2.11 doesn't allow lua files to use "exec." Might want to find a way around that.

In the meantime, anyone else who uses this mod, you can manually run your configuration by typing "exec mmtconf.cfg" into the console yourself.

Also, compatibility issue, probably much lower priority, maybe even into "fix it yourself, user" territory:
Rebinding the super button seems incompatible with XMomentum (unless you edit it to disable hyper forms.)
(It also doesn't rebind Sol forms, or stop their music, but that's only a few characters and I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about it from MMT's end)

--edit
Also, "seems to be" because I don't have a save with all emeralds that doesn't also require a lot of mods to show up. So, like, probably want another test on that.

Aw man, I should really check the forums more often lol. I'll make an update soon-ish to just tell users to run this command while I find a way to make it load the settings in a better way. Won't be fun having to make it backwards compatible, that's for sure.
My current development environment isn't catered towards SRB2's lua since it's been awhile since I made mods (i've been busy with making stuff in python lately), so, yeah, don't expect a real fix for this or any of the other incompatible mods any time soon, sorry to say.

Fixed for SRB2 v2.2.11

Hey, quick fix for the new SRB2 update! They unexpectedly removed the ability to use exec, so now this should load files in a more safe way. Thanks to Jisk#0001 for writing out most of the fix for this, I've been outta the game for awhile so didn't remember how lua IO worked.

I've also updated the P_TeleportMove or whatever it was, I've hopefully used the right functions but I didn't thoroughly test everything.

I'll try to release an update in the future to fix the mod incompatibilites...

Uh, I don't know if this has been reported before, but is the idle animation delay time supposed to reset after resetting the game and loading the mod again? Because that's what it does to me (I'm not sure about anyone else), and it's really annoying to have to open the menu and change it again. It's the only option that resets upon load, and it's bothering the hell out of me.

I have this problem too.
It's been a good while since this mod updated, and that was during 2.2.11. Maybe it's some developer oversight that's causing that? Not sure, just guessing.

v6.0 - Big Update; new menu system, yet another rewrite.

Happy holidays to all, I've decided to update Many Minor Tweaks after this has laid dormant for over a year and a half.

Once again I have revamped the entire mod; this time I've taken cues from SRB2: Chaotic Edition v3, especially in that I've ripped it's menu system to use for this. The behind the scenes coding has once more seen a big clean-up, and should hopefully be up to snuff for a long while now.
There's also been a lot of little fixes and tweaks here and there, just whenever I...

Played the update and i think its awesome. I really like the new menu system and how you can hold a button instead of going into the console. But ive experienced a few bugs and have a few criticisms.
first off, i think the classic attraction might be a bit bugged because attracting something with it makes the rings fly away from you, making them take longer to be grabbed. The recurl option also seems to have conflict with shadow. Sometimes when you recurl during a chaos snap, it cancels making him launch in the direction of the chaos snap even faster than normal. I think thats all the bugs ive found in the 10 minutes i spent messing with this mod. But ive also got some things that i think would be cool to see in it.
I think it would be nice if it was possible to give speed shoes the same afterimage effect as the super forms, kinda like you see in fangames. Fixing the slope launches would also be cool, kinda like they have in reveries. Uhm, yeah thats pretty much all ive got.
I'd prolly make this a review instead of a comment, but i feel like this is more of a bug report than the former. Thanks for providing us with peak!

After a little bit of digging, I've figured out what causes the life counter to show when it's not supposed to. It happens around here:
1735180942226.png

The bug occurs when playing with Sonic & Tails, or presumably any modded duos, though I haven't tested anything but S&T. It seems like certain MMT variables might not be getting properly initialized/loaded/synchronized/whatever with bots, so when this check happens with a bot, the lives HUD gets re-enabled.

A quick and dirty solution for this specific bug could be to just check to make sure this hook doesn't run for bots, since they don't use lives. However, the underlying problem might have more subtle effects that just haven't come up yet, so it might be worth looking into why these variables aren't being properly synchronized with bots. For what it's worth, I found that loading/starting a file without any bots will stop this issue from happening until you close SRB2, even if you go back to the title screen and load into a file with bots.

v6.1 - Small additions

Hey all, a quick n small update. For some reason SLADE was fighting me by 0-ing out random files when trying to put this together, but I got it all sorted. Here's the changes:
  • Added a new menu called "Compatibility Tweaks", meant to allow tweaks to force themselves to work with custom characters... hopefully.
  • Seperated Recurl's "plus" options, because now it gets assigned it's own custom key.
    • IMPORTANT NOTE: YOUR PREVIOUS SETTING FOR...
