This is gonna be the first actual addon I make, and I'm a one man team so this might take a while. Right now I'm getting all of the sprites situated. I plan to include all of the abilities from Mania, including the unlockable ones. That means he'll have Drop Dash, Peelout, and Insta-sheild. Here's proof for right now that I'm making progress; and please leave your thoughts on this character I'm making down below. Oh, and also this'll be a 2d character due to me not being able to sprite good and limited sprites.

Maybe you could also reference the Sonic CD special stage sprites, as those have multiple angles for walking, running (the circle running) and jumping.

I know you're not the best at spriting, but... have you tried it out yet? There's a way to have a character with only 180 sprites. A few cheats here in there to make it even eaiser. Goodluck btw.

I have tried spriting, I can just never get it to look the way I want it to though. On one hand, I don't want to release a mod with bad sprites. On the other hand, if I don't sprite, this'll just be a sprite rip mod, which usually isn't that good of a mod. So right now I'm just stuck in a purgatory. Either way it's gonna be a bad mod, but I'm still gonna work on it.

Yeah, I'm not referring to that one, but I have quite a few characters with the same moveset. Pretty much every classic sonic type mod has some or all of those moves.

It's alright. Don't worry, I thought they were a little different too.
 
Regardless, the point remains, it'd be great if the character had a more unique moveset, otherwise there wouldn't be much separating it from other mods, this mod hasn't been the first Mania sprite rip and the moveset has been done before, not to say that every mod must be revolutionary, but it is something to consider.
