WELCOME TO SPACEMAN2028 CUP

Features:
~5 simple tracks (as of the current time)
~Optional Time Trial ghosts, if you fancy a little challenge (They'll show up as Metal Sonic if you don't have my character pack loaded)
~Includes a version of that pack which is compatible with Sonic1983's Player Bot Mod, in case your internet is down when you feel like racing against other players.

THE TRAX:

Sunday Cup:
Track 1: Tsukuba Circuit
A Japanese racetrack from the real world, which was immortalized by its appearances in games like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. It was originally constructed to help newcomers to racing get in shape for big time events, and consequently serves as the perfect starting map for Spaceman2028 cup.

(This recreation of a famous track was how I learned the ins and outs of Zone Builder.)
Track 2: Supermarket 2
Whose dumb idea was it to go kart racing through the middle of the store?! Probably the same person who thought it was a good idea to go kart racing through a mall, no doubt.
kart0006.png

kart0007.png

kart0009.png

(A present for the Re-Volt fans. You know who you are! The original plan was to recreate Toys in the Hood 1, until I realized how much of a checkpoint jank nightmare that track would be to make.)
Track 3: Fort Gidlow
From the little-known arcade game Mashed: Drive to Survive (Mashed Fully Loaded in some countries). A small, castle-like structure built at the water's edge. The road through it was built as a means to move goods around the fort quicker, but it also makes for a decent little racetrack.

kart0002.png

(Do any of you ever suddenly get the urge to make a map one day, and then casually end up finishing that map in about 5 or 6 hours because of how simplistic the map itself actually is? lol)
Track 4: Arctic Arsenal
A recreation of Arctic Land from High Octane: The Track Fights Back. Deep in the heart of the Arctic lies the ruins of an old warehouse facility. Speculation suggests that it could be an abandoned military facility of some kind, but now it has been repurposed into a kart racing circuit.

(Note that when reaching the part where the road splits in two, the road on the left is the main path and the one on the right leads to a shortcut that requires invincibility or super sneakers to get through.)
Track 5: Rip Tide
Kick up the sand in this fast-paced outdoor escape set in the outskirts of a city near the water's edge. Nothing screams summer vacation like the roar of engines across the surface of the beach!

MAP HELL:
Track 1: Thunder Park
Once upon a time there existed a secret underground boat racing organization known as the Hydro Thunder Racing Association (H.T.R.A.). Production of such illegal racing has long since been banned by government authorities, but some of their personal racetracks still remain intact...
(Images show the original version, Thunder Park Classic. The later version of the map is upscaled)

(In the game this track comes from, there was a glass tube over the first turn after the indoor section, but I don't know how to recreate that. This track has been moved to map hell because it's pretty bland and doesn't add anything new to the table.)
Track 2: R.M. Test Track
This crazy course was one of many old Hot Wheels testing facilities, designed to push a vehicle to the limits in the pursuit of high performance. It has since been modified for use as a kart racing circuit, by having it's loop-de-loops removed.

(This was originally the fourth track of Sunday Cup, but I found myself unimpressed with it as time went by and I ended up removing it from the map pack entirely. I decided to bring it back as a hell map for archival purposes, and because it adds in a little bit of additional, if optional content.
Track 3: Circus Minimus
One of the oldest recorded racing circuits still standing as of the current day. There's hardly any track to speak of here, which when combined with the arena's small size makes for some pretty intense endurance races.
kart0005.png

(One of my earliest ideas for an SRB2Kart map, which I added into the map pack as an April Fools joke. There are many tracks like it in SRB2Kart but this one holds a very near and dear place within my heart, due to the nostalgia of it all. As of version 3.0 this map has been moved to Map Hell as a bonus track.)

More to come in the future, probably.

Known Issues:

-If you respawn at any point in the race for any reason, you may not end up facing the right way.
-None of the tracks currently have any minimaps because I noticed their minimaps don't appear to work correctly. This may eventually be addressed one day.

Credits:

-The spectator stands were borrowed from the base game maps Green Hill Zone and Sonic Speedway Zone respectively, to save me the trouble of making my own spectator stands.

Your tracks could use some decorating as the tracks, in its current state, are flat and uninteresting to both race on and look at. The tracks also feel like they blend into each other due to the similarity in undulations (or lack there of) and presentation.

the tracks are pretty empty. add more props in the maps and this will be better. but for now this is pretty mid.

Oh hey! Tsukuba circuit! To be honest, I'm always glad to see real life tracks represented in SRB2K in one way or another. Sadly, I do think this pack needs improvement as of right now.

First of all... yeah, the preview pics are scaled very weirdly. Thunder Park is enormous and Tsukuba is tiny. Whether or not this was intentional, I honestly don't really like it though. It doesn't add anything to the pack other than to really mess up navigation in the track selector. I imagine it'd look beyond strange in the voting screen, too?

But as for the tracks itself, I think I can see what you were going for here, since both of the tracks seem to have been "kart-ified". They look a little more like traditioanl karting tracks than race tracks or fantasy racing game venues and all. I think this is fine, but the layout of Thunder Park is a little too boring and simple even for that. 5 very short laps of 6 90º angle turns. The ramps don't even let you go over the walls, which makes them very awkward and is a missing opportunity. I think the detailing in it looks alright, but this track really needs some more.

Tsukuba was what I downloaded this pack for admittedly, but yeah, I think the "kart-ifying" went a little too far here, if that was your intention. The map is bereft of detail, so much so that it's actually a big disorienting to where you are in relation to the track. I wouldn't even notice I was in the back straight of the track until it was almost time for the final turn. Also, having very little off-road sections is a little strange, considering Tsukuba is at some points a relatively tight track. Since you mentioned Gran Turismo and Forza too, it's very strange seeing this track with absolutely no sand/gravel. Overall it ends up not feeling like Tsukuba too much.

I should also mention that the track layout pictures are also gigantic and do not line up with where the racers are. I think the transparency is broken too? You do mention that, but yeah, it's another problem that helps the maps look disorienting.

I'm not saying this to discourage you! I'm very happy to see the interest in porting over real tracks to the game is here! I just believe that you can potentially do better. Try and makes the maps livelier in general, both in layout and in detail.
