This is a Kart mod that gives a powerup every lap you pass

The concept is simple, each lap you cross will roll a second roulette under your item slot and gives you a variety of powerups.
The powerups are splitted into 3 categories:
With yellow borders (manual): those ones can be used with the ITEM button (default bind) but you can only use them if you don't have an item.
With green borders (auto): Are used during certain conditions, such as using an item or getting hit, note: you can exchange them with a sneaker by holding ITEM (default bind) if you found your powerup is useless but you can't drop if you're first or have an item.
With grey borders(instant): Are used as soon you get one.

  • Manual powerups:
    • Mini boost: Give a small boost for a short time
    • Long boost: Give a small boost for a long time
    • Mini hyudoro: Give short invisibility, but doesn't steal an item
    • Spring drop: Make you hover the ground and drop a spring as a trap
    • Banana rain: Rain bananas around you
    • Punch bumper: Wipe opponents you bump with a vertical jump
    • Growing seed: Gives grow, holding the powerup will charges the effect (indicated with a %)
  • Auto powerups:
    • Protect shield: Protect you from one hit (except SPB)
    • Bigger item: Makes your next item bigger
    • Double amount: Double the amount of the next item you will get
    • Curse attack: Shrinks the player who got hit by one of your items
  • Instant powerups:
    • Faster spark: Drift sparks came faster
    • Super mode: Powerful invincibility and hard to control
    • Item recollect Gets the item you took damage from, with more ammo sometimes

Client commends:
Some Clients commends are stored in a file called "powerlap.cfg"in the luafiles folder

pl_shieldtype<shield name>
- OPTIONS: Pity, Force, Attract, Whirlwind, Elemental, Armageddon (default is force)
- Changes the astetic of the protect shield

pl_supercolor<color name>
- OPTIONS: Gold, Orange, Red, Purple, Blue, Aqua, Green, White, Cream (default is gold)
- Changes the color effect when you enter in super mode

pl_help
- Just prints some info about the mod

pl_list
- Just lists all the powerups with a short description

pl_howtoplay<On/Off>
(default is on)
-If turned on, it shows the text that tells you to use or discard a powerup

pl_button<button name>
- OPTIONS: item, custom1, custom2, custom3 (default is item)
-Changes the button to use powerups


Admin commends:
powerlap<On/Off>
(default is on)
-Toggles this mod

powlap_firstpow<On/Off>
(default is on)
-If turned on, the player in first can get powerups. notice: there's a high chance of getting nothing

powlap_powonstart<On/Off>
(default is off)
-If turned on, everyone will get a powerup as soon the race starts

powlap_toggle<powerup name>
- OPTIONS: any actual name of a powerup, without spaces, using for mini boost should be: "powlap_toggle miniboost"...
-Toggles on or off the given powerup entered in the commend

pl_force<powerup name>
- OPTIONS: it's like powlap_toggle
Used for debug purposes, just gives a powerup to the admin/moderator player

This is a mod that gives a little bit of dynamic during races and gives more options for comeback.
It doesn't make chaos

Plus, powerlap has some support for hitfeed and hostmod's neoscoreboard (by adding powerlap tips)

very fun mod
i personally enjoy this because it doesn't overlap with the item system that much making it very fun
combine it with hpmod for fun times (probably not) guaranteed

The fact that as long as you survive a lap to get a rather interesting item is amazing and i found a unique thing on the Countdown Game Mode. Apparently, if you get Mini-Turbo and then activate it, you'll get an additional 60-80 seconds (Track dependent) added to the clock and it's rather fascinating that such a thing can happen.

I want to explore more in multiplayer with friends so, more to come.

It's very simple in concept, but in execution it's 100% assured chaos in smaller maps and big servers. I'm very excited to see this played around with, it's very fun.
