Nick's Tower of Pizza Pack! V2B1

While I think the move set made the transition very well, promoting more diverse traversal through both sonic and knuckles sections, I think his weight might be a bit much. I think him having a slightly shorter jump makes sense, since it would promote use of his super jump or wall climb. But finding weird work-a-rounds to springs and catapults just because they don't launch you far enough is kind of annoying and a tad frustrating. Maybe is you had the ability to move slightly left and right while wall climbing would make it a bit better, even if less faithful, I still think making him less heavy, or reverting his weight back to normal with using springs specifically, would help a lot in the long run.

The heavy gravity makes walkthrough WAY harder, I am playing on techno hill zone and its hell, i need to think how i can run on a wall and fall on right place, the springs turns into... nothing because you dont need them, you have heavy gravity

I'm already seeing one big issue with the new Peppino: while the new weight he has makes sense in a way, it currently makes certain sections *far* too cumbersome to work with. In CEZ1 especially, there's so many sections where you're supposed to be launched in a specific way to reach paths (or even reach the end,) and because Peppino's so heavy, he drops too soon to even entertain the idea of those higher paths existing. And it's not like superjump + dashes are always available; some spaces have too little room to start one, some areas have too large of a gap to superjump + dash over, etc.

Case in point, the end of CEZ1. No, not the chase, I mean how you *get* to it. There doesn't seem to be even a single way to reach it, and it's entirely because you're too heavy as Peppino. Even if you can reach the ledge the springs are on, there's a second ledge right below it with a thorny floor on it, meaning you'll just get hit into the abyss. The swinging hooks you're supposed to use to reach it no longer send you far enough. The gap is far too long to reliably superjump + dash to. If there's a super-specific way to actually reach it and I haven't found it yet, maybe I'm just not good at the big ol' Italian man.

On an unrelated note, I think it's a missed opportunity to not let players continue to taunt/breakdance after the goal. It's a small funny detail; I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to let them be useable again. And on that same note, personally I think breakdancing should be merged back onto taunt. You're looking at so many different controls on Peppino here, whereas in the original all you had was the 3 buttons. I think merging the two actions again could at least help alleviate a bit of the clutter here.

Otherwise, I think this is a huge step forward for the mod in a lot of ways, since now Peppino's a lot closer to the original in a lot of the ways that matter the most. Can't wait to see where this goes from here!

taunting is mb bro, ill be sure to add back taunting and merge breakdancing (if ass launcher isnt on) into taunt in beta 2, as well as disable gravity if the player comes to contact with springs and such

for now just find your own routes lol

Too accurate to it's detriment.
Maybe think of taking some creative liberties with his gameplay to flow better with the level design of the game. His weight, the way his moves are binded, his walking and startup being too slow, and his mach run being too fast to even react to oncoming obstacles are all problems for me.
He's just not fun to play. I think making the mach run automatic (similar to Metal Sonic's dash mode) and making his grab the spin ability could really make him flow a lot better.

the mod is really good, i have almost the same experience i had on original pizza tower but on 3d, but you should make peppino's gravity lower, it is nothing like pizza tower and annoying to be honest

Sucks that these are just 2D side-way sprites in a 3D world, so docked points for that, but the mod does exactly what it says. Pizza Tower characters in SRB2. Nothing noteworthy to really say. Just a good mod.

This is basically a version of Peppino in full, albeit with unfinished sprites.
But it still needs a bit of tweaking n' more stuff.
Here's what i think should be fixed/added:
Peppino's gravity. (It gets in the way of the level way too often, and it can reduce the amount of fun you have with playing as Peppino on custom levels)

A Tutorial Level. (A tutorial is basically required to help the player get a hang of Peppino's moveset and physics. Oh, and maybe let the player know how to use moves such as uppercutting or super taunting.)

Besides all of that, this mod is great.

I'm going to say this outright, I didn't enjoy this in its current state. I really try my hardest to avoid giving low scores to mods in general. I feel like low scores demotivate people very much, but everything is open to criticism so I hope you can take this since it's going to be a bit rough.

First the sprites. Pizza Tower characters, (especially Peppino) are really expressive and have tons of sprites in-game. I'm not saying you should add every sprite since that would be insane to manage. But for there to be just to be very few sprites used and for them to not follow the SRB2 styles of having sprites for every direction is already a few points off. For credit, the mach-speed trails or afterimages (whatever you call them) were done pretty well. But this doesn't save it from looking lazy with just one sprite for running, facing, etc.

It just feels lacking, with the lack of an act clear illustration (It shows the default 'Clear!' signpost) it just feels like nothing. It felt like it was slapped together quickly to profit off Pizza Tower's popularity.

Next the characters/gameplay.

I didn't like this at all, all the characters feel like a repainted Sonic. Especially Peppino and Noise. The only thing unique about Peppino is his mega jump and wall climb. They're fine but it feels clunky to use and feels more punishing than anything else since you lose all speed, since you may not even travel farther afterward.

The Noise is much the same but with a weird Fang jump that didn't work for me at all. He's literally a Peppino copy excluding his exclusive abilities making him not fun to play.

Finally, Snick is the most unique character in this pack. With the fact knowing he was built to play and feel like Sonic. What else am I supposed to say except that his Nose Dive has some potential speeding through levels?

In conclusion, the characters are mediocre at best and mind-numbingly boring at worse. But don't let this get you down. I feel like with enough time we can get a great Pizza Tower mod, but at this stage it's bad.

I like this addon a lot but it's mostly because it has the pizza time in it along with lap to, sadly it's not for a solo run though, it would be a even more enjoyable with solo pizza time and a bot as pizza face like but eggman flying towards you.

It may not be perfect, but for a Pizza Tower SRB2 Mod, its very good!
It plays alot like as if Pizza Tower were 3D, and its probably the best 3D Pizza Tower Representation so far! (excluding those roblox games)
I tried it out after some months of not playing SRB2, and I must say, its already really good after only playing the first 3 zones.
Ok, so not everything about the mod is perfect, sadly. Peppino is kind of too heavy, even if it is to make him balanced. It kind of makes it..less fun? Also, I feel like Peppino's walk speed should be a little bit faster to fit more with Pizza Tower's Peppino. No, not like SUPER Fast, like being able to run like Sonic In SRB2 without the Mach run, but, like, at LEAST a little bit faster when walking to make it easier to get around. Also, It could use more special sprites, but I think thats a plan for this mdo.
Other then those, this is a faithful 3D recreation of Peppino Spaghetti from Pizza Tower! I had fun playing it, and I hope this mod has a bright future.
Also, are you ever thinking of making a Playable Gustavo and Brick to add on to this mod?
