EHZHangout is a level pack that my old friend, Starshy made back in 2019 and I took over in 2022.
Originally, it was just Emerald Hill (and it wasn't even called that originally), but then later he made Cosomania aswell, and those two together became a small level pack. Later, Bluelight made a map named Greenflower City, which got included into the level pack, making it not 2, but 3 maps! The level pack eventually got discontinued, and both Emerald Hill and Cosomania got remade, with the former turning into Varway Valley Zone from Starshy Stages and the latter being a bonus level in that level pack and also being completely different from what it was in the 2.1 times.
3 years after this small hangout level pack was released (so in 2022's summer), I felt like porting it, so I asked for permission and I got it! After like 5 days, I released it on June 11th, 2022. Emerald Hill and Cosomania got a bunch of improvements, while Greenflower City was removed. This is because Bluelight already released it as a seperate map named Oldflower City, so I didn't include it. Maybe you can find it on a hangout server?
The level pack was received positively, but it got a bit of criticism for the maps being too narrow, so I scaled them to a larger size as a test and I liked it! I then started working on an update named v16.2, but I made SO much changes that it became v17! I continued to work on it until mid-2023, when I took a break from playing games and listening to music, and then development on this... died.
That is, until one day, in March 2024, I felt like touching this unreleased and unfinished (well, it is finished now, kinda) update up and releasing it to the public! So, here you go!
This is the last major update by me, and originally I wanted to do more stuff for this (specifically, revamping Cosomania aswell). But, as I've said, I've lost interest in this, and I've lost interest in this game and modding it. This is why Cosomania did not change too much. At the very least, I'll make bug fixes and (if there are ANY) add missing credits. And maybe make some small changes to the maps if anything. But I'm not gonna make any major updates after v17.
This map supports the gametypes Co-op and Hangout. To not get an error about the latter, you need to have a mod loaded which creates a gametype named Hangout, such as this one.
Now, let's take a look at the maps!
As I've said, Starshy made this map back in 2019 and later it got remade as Varway Valley Zone for Starshy Stages. This is a prototype of it. In previous versions before v17, it looked... worse. It was cramped, the wall textures were very small, there were only one type of flowers and they were really small too, it wasn't as decorated as it should have been, etc. For v17, this got a HUGE revamp and it looks SO much better than before! Take a look!
You can even race against your friends at the Aquatic Ruins race track, too! You can find that later in the map.
