  • Head off the potential for SRB2 2.2.12 error spam and broken objects in Broadside Cliffs due to a copying error in the Lua object definitions. Downloading this update is required to avoid spam and broken objects in 2.2.12 pre1.
Barring any major errors, this is likely going to be the last update that is compatible with SRB2 2.2.11.

-Identified a few graphical issues that cropped up when Lawn World Act1 and 2 were swapped with their UDMF-using versions.
-Ameliorated an OpenGL only issue in Greenhouse Scamper (hence the message on using Software)
-Removed preview label from WWZ act 1.
As the title says. In addition, Lawn World now has cute beagles for you to meet.

Changes and fixes
  1. First pass of a completed NiGHTS companion to Skyward Garden, adding the third unique bonus level to the pack.
  2. Reworked part of Broadside Ascent to allow the removal of a notable invisible wall.
  3. Proper offsets for many Skyward Garden flame objects, so the corona now forms in the correct spot.
  4. Many FoF's in SGZ2 and DDZ now have high quality alignment.

I forgot to actually add the fixed and updated maps to the .pk3 file. Sorry about that.
Changes.

  1. -Cannon Lantern shadows looked tacky on their stands, so they no longer cast them
  2. -Minor optimizations for Skyward Garden Act 2, one side effect was a few fixed texture alignments
  3. -Many of the missing midtexture grass segments in SGZ2 has been added (due to improved tooling)
  4. -Use of vertex things (since they no longer crash) to fix a broken texture on a bridge in WWZ1 and fix a detail in SGZ2.
  5. -Slightly updated preview of WWZ1.
  6. Bugged SOC regarding SGZ2, DDZ1, and WWZ1 emblems has been fixed (due to an oversight).

2.2.11 is out. As promised, the new version of Creative Worlds is coming out immediately considering this news. A lot of stuff to cover.

  1. NEW: Dangerous Descent Zone

  4. Updated Preview for the Skyward Blocks NiGHTS Level
  5. Many optimizations throughout the pack
  6. Various Lua optimizations among many of the assets
  7. Various oversights fixed (again).
  8. Lawn World Act 1 was swapped out with the original UDMF version (back when the release was far away)
  9. Significant changes to Lawn World and Broadside Cliffs, terrain was added in many spots as well as other details taking advantage of UDMF (alignments ect...).
  10. Cleared up the water in Lawn World and Skyward Garden
  11. It is now the Software Engine that is recommended (hence the many optimizations). Windrous Windsock for starters requires Software for the water to render properly.
  12. New intro music and title image.
There are a couple of known issues though with a texture on an FoF in Wondroud Windsock as well as FoF's that will not crumble since they use the new native sloping, I have submitted bug reports to the Gitlab with minimal reproduction maps so they should eventually be fixed. I may have to revert to legacy methods of doing those specifically especially since UZB will soon recieve improvements and fixes. They do not impact gameplay, performance, or stability though so it is fine for now.

One last thing; Wondrous Windsock's music is a modified version of the background tune for the first level of Vectorman for the the Genesis, just to emphasize it is not an original creation of mine with the help of public domain loops like other levels.

  • SGZ1 - Fix inconsistencies in quality and in linedef flags
  • SGZ1 - Slight optimizations and fix a couple of things that got lost in optimizing
  • BCZ2 - Slight optimizations and fix a small something that got lost in optimizing
  • GSZ - A few more optimizations
  • GSZ - Strike the Early Preview subtext, the zone was done, and I forgot to check its SOC.
I should be about done with these small updates now, barring anything major.
