Just beat azure temple with this mod. Worst experience in my whole life, seriously, i'd rather drink a pint of vanilla extract than have to go through that again. I didn't think it was possible to have such horrible experience in a game, every single moment in that level felt like having my skin slowly ripped off. I wouldn't wish that experience upon hitler, let alone the people who downloaded this mod. I legit entered that level with 15 lives and left with 2 and 6 game overs. I still don't know a consistent way to beat it that doesn't involve stalling and making enemies follow you just so you can snap dive them to hop over the large gaps because my ribgs kept running out due to the forced ring burst sections. I think it's time for me to stop playing this mod and just go back to waiting for MSV6 to release.

That is pretty much the biggest issue with this mod as a whole, although some people would call this argument invalid due to that level not being required to beat the game as its bonus level instead. I agree with you on the whole, "turns into a coughing baby in water" weakness X Sonic has.

Also on a separate note, I wonder how a 3D model would look for this character, considering all the charm comes from the cool 2d animation style, which would be hard to translate into 3D

No way it's THAT bad. I'll try it out myself.

A piece of advice I can give you is getting the Bubble shield and the beginning by kicking that totem.

Even when i got it i usually lost it in one of the forced ringburst areas with the diabolical firing totems and also my rings most of the time which basically meant resetting from he beginning or else i wouldn't have enough rings to use the ring burst more than once just incase i misfired it. Also, something i didn't point out in the original comment was that you're forced to do a no damage run if you don't search for a bubble shield since the large gaps are pretty much impossible to get over without a transformation or the ring burst, and even with the shield they're still a pain in the ass due to the fact you can't jump while zip-dashing underwater, so most of the time you're searching for rings and trying not to bounce on walls during the ring burst and being redirected to the start, meanwhile trying not to drown while crawling as fast as possible to the nearest air bubble every chance you have.

TL:DR totem laser hard make me lose shield, great gap hard, move slow, drown fast and ring hunt.

Yeah, levels like deep sea can be done well since you if you grab enough rings, you can easily ring burst out of the water, but in levels like Aquatic base from 06 level pack or i guess Azure Temple (I haven't unlocked it yet) it's really a lot more pain.
Even do i still love this mod, his underwater nerf shows trying to be accurate dosen't always work.
 
Would it be possible to make a command in a future update that gives you all the dark emeralds? collecting them in one go and losing them all if you quit the game outside of the main campaign is a bit of a pain.
For those who don't know yet, the debug command is deletexemeralds darkerr. Don't expect it to save your progress from that, though!

the spindash for xsonic i think it more of a bonus if my memory is right on that he never did a spindash in the show only ringbursts at list visually
Uhhh...he rolled down a tree once. He used a sort of...semi-spindash in the Metarex saga? Either way, yeah, it's just a minor bonus not meant to have any purpose to his gameplay.

I have this weird issue with Super Sonic where I rotate the camera and he does the Chaos Lambent, anyone know how to fix that issue?
As in, you accidentally fire a Chaos Lambent when you rotate the camera? The biggest chance is that your trigger is set to the attack button, which is an alternative button for firing Chaos Lambence.

Otherwise, maybe you accidentally have your some stick axis set to JUMP or SPIN. Pressing those two buttons together real quick is what normally fires the Chaos Lambence.

Yeah, plus it's like the first or second main abillty of the charachter.
Also personally, the only time i ever needed the spindash was on Arid Canyon 1 in only one section.

Why not just bind Toss Flag to a comfortable button you'd like to use for spindashing? I dunno know why you'd need it on a dime so strongly. Feels similar to me like being asked to add a seperate button for SA-Sonic's breakdance.

Myself, another user by the name of CrawlaSupremacy, and a lot of my friends in our shared group discord where we play all sorts of games (SRB2 included, 25 in total) who've been playing around with the Addon feel the same way about the Increased ease of grabbing Power Rings in the Overall Changes section in the 1.1 update. With how auto-grabbable it is as it stands currently, it just doesn't feel like its earned after breaking open a Lightning or Magnet Shield to jog and then jump up to grab it; as you would like a dropped ring after getting hit practically with how it originally behaved upon intial release.
Didn't expect to hear people wanting things to be more difficult, but that's good enough for me. Thanks for having your voice be heard! I might make it a bit harder again in a later update. Sonic did miss it a couple times in the anime, too!

Like i said, on one section of Arid Canyon act 1.
BUT i retried this section when i was trying to speedrun the level, and you don't even need it here actually, zip dash and wall run works.

Probably because im trying to 100% SRB2 with him. Also, that masochistic itch is what made games like Super Meat Boy so popular when they released, because afterall, the biggest pleasure most people could feel while playing a game would probably be beating its hardest challenge. And the main part of my suffering in Azure Temple wasn't because of any intended nerf that X Sonic has, more-so because he can't jump during the zip dash underwater when you're using a bubble shield, so even if i had one since the beginning i still would've suffered a lot, with the underwater nerfs or not, which i think is a real problem when you run out of rings and have to cross a large gap underwater. But you have a point tho, i wouldn't see anyone bringing X Sonic(and in that case any character) to a death chamber like Azure Temple for any other reason than to see if it's actually possible to beat it.

Quite true. Sonic did on a good handful of occasions missed grabbing Power Rings in Sonic X. Thanks for hearing me, CrawlaSupremacy, and my group discord's voices. The guys wanted me to tell you that they really appreciate that you're doing that for the next update. While I can understand some people would have difficulties catching the Power Rings, its original behavior before the 1.1 update was sound.

Can't wait to see what you'll do with the next update. Btw, it was a great experiance doing that testing for ya for Adventure Sonic 1.8b release on that server you opened up. Hope I can contribute with more testing in the future should such oppertunities come about; since it's my dream job to beta test videogame stuff and report back to the creators.

First of all, i'll presume adding a part of GoldernShine Post was accidental, secound of all, even tho that model seems really cool and im looking forward to it, that's off-topic.
