Rail grinding in SRB2!
This add-on is a snippet of code from my character, Tempest the Axolotl, version 1.1.2, modified to work without the rest of the add-on. By holding CUSTOM 2 with enough speed while atop a fence/rail/solid midtexture, your character will go into a roll state and slide across the rail, with increased velocity (+33%). The direction you hold moderately influences your trajectory, so be careful!
I've had a few people ask me if they could use this code before and I said "no" for, frankly, kind of selfish reasons. So here it is now, free to use and modify! I did make the ability work by itself, but it's uploaded here mainly for those wanting to use/modify for their own work.
Although, since I'm not exactly sure what the Reusable tag entails, I ask that you please give credit if you use this on your add-on.
Known issue(s): Since this is taken straight from Tempest the Axolotl, you can expect to encounter the same few... inconsistencies, that I never managed to fix. Which may include getting launched off of a rail at inconvenient times. Possibly into a death pit. Sorry y'all maybe I'll get around to polishing the code in the future!!
(Also, while I bound the ability to Custom 2 to not directly interfere with most add-ons, there is still no proper filter, so this ability may still interfere with characters that make use of the same key)
