why can't i gain speed underwater? deep sea zone act 2's crusher section is BORDERLINE IMPOSSIBLE since he can't gain speed underwater, let alone maintain it. also when using xmomentum, he still lacks momentum.
It is pretty easy actually but because of how slow sonic is underwater it's just annoying as piss to get anywhere in that stage, I'm pretty sure I died in the second room after the water slide because of how slow Sonic is

Help, i can't run, always when i press the forward button i only walk, please help if there's a solution for it, i tried xmomentum but it didnt helped

From my experience, X Sonic only runs if you hold the button assigned to Spin to do the Zip Dash(or if you hit some kinda boost pad), part of his whole stop and go vibe I believe. Otherwise he always runs at a brisk jog.
 
I love seeing the amount of passion and care taken in his sprite work. He looks so clean in all his forms. That being said, in terms of gameplay, he seems profoundly limited to speedrunning predetermined routes and that's just about it. His moveset is actually detrimental in pretty much all gameplay that doesn't involve skipping most of the levels. I still enjoy playing him, but it's hard to justify picking X Sonic in maps not designed specifically for him, or that aren't generally composed of a lot of straight lines.

If there's actual platforming involved or precarious areas, he's kind of frustrating to play. His 0-100 playstyle is certainly flashy and cool, but functionally doesn't seem to fit into 90% of the content SRB2 has to offer, which is a shame because I still want to keep playing him. But not by figuring out all the angles to skip the levels. It kinda seems like he was designed to be played exclusively by grindersky or by veterans who have nothing left to experience besides beating the levels comically fast.

There is undeniable skill and passion used to make X Sonic. But functionally, he doesn't seem to be made to be played outside of maps designed for him, as you're either uncontrollably fast or disappointingly slow with no granularity in between. In typical gameplay that results in you ironically being slower than most characters because unless you're skipping platforming, you're accidentally overshooting it with no way to course correct unless every move you make is pixel perfect, which is just unwieldy and unrealistic. Also, the circumstances for a helpful wallrun are way too strict for it to be a reliable method of traversal, and most of the time you try it, you don't get to where you want to be. Zip-dashing around looks cool, but is almost always an impractical choice so players feel the need to just walk around at a slower than normal Sonic pace. Though, despite my criticisms, I feel that with some thoughtful modifications or perhaps an alternate setting/mode/moveset for him, he could be perfect.

I'll be watching the development closely though as this mod was made with talent.
 
I seem to be having some problem loading him. He gets loaded with the following warning in the console log: skin color 'SKINCOLOR_MIDNIGHT' could not be found. Also I can't open his menu with custom 3 for some reason.

And this happens when I try to do the ring burst-

It actually is possible
Just use ring burst and try not to waste your rings too much and boom
Thats at least how I did my full playthrough as x sonic
 
I'm still working my way through the main campaign, but this mod seems to be REALLY well made. That being said, my biggest gripe is definitely how X Sonic interacts with water. I understand it probably stems from Sonic X in some way, and it isn't a big deal in the first couple zones, but these changes make Deep Sea Zone an absolute NIGHTMARE to play. It isn't fun in the slightest. I'm not asking for this quirk to be removed entirely, but I would appreciate if it was made a tad more reasonable to work around. All of that aside, big props to everyone who worked on this mod.

Fr, almost did a kurt cobain after trying to beat sunken library with this "mild incovenience". Whoever had the idea probably was a sadomasochist.
 
I have some issues with the mod everything is perfect its Just the high skill ceiling but thats not my complaint is about its about the câmera on automatic mode no matter where i play i always prefer the automatic camera soo X Sonic always shakes the câmera on automatic mode when he does zip dashes, snap dives and other moves the câmera shakes a lot even with the screen quakes turned off also even with screen quakes and visual flares turned off they are still turned on which bugs me a lot sometimes because my phone is not that powerfull anyways i hope those bugs can be fixed soon i loved X Sonic and the wait was worth it Thank you everyone who was on the team to make this dream come true
Forget about what i said it was all skill issue and my câmera badly adjusted
