Glitches are fun! Sometimes, glitches can make your game better. And sometimes, glitches that aren't quite so harmless can still be fun and inspire people to do something similar, but on purpose this time. That's how we got Surge and Kit (and the platypus too I guess), and it's how I got the idea for this very character... or, rather, pair of characters! By switching between the high-flying Amy and the speed demon Rosy on the fly, these two can absolutely tear through stages.

Lore: Amy got possessed by something, but the thing possessing her turned out to be chill, so she decided to make friends with it and give it her old nickname, and now she's plural with a nice but kinda rambunctious demon or something. I dunno, I haven't worked out all the details story-wise yet.

Moveset
Switch - Press Custom 1 at any time to switch between Amy and Rosy. This even works while moving or in midair! Amy and Rosy are designed to cover each others' weaknesses, so you'll want to be doing this a lot.

Amy (a.k.a Amybug or RB!Amy)

Rising Twirl
- Press Jump in the air, and Amy will hold her hammer out and spin around like a propeller. This'll grant her a quick upward boost, and if you hold Jump after the peak, she'll slowly float down to the ground.
Melee & Hammer Jump - Amy's hammer attack works the same as in vanilla SRB2, but pressing Jump during the landing animation will give you an extra high jump.
Twinspin - Works the same as vanilla, but only activated with Spin. Has the added ability to act as an Insta-Shield, granting you momentary invulnerability.

Rosy (a.k.a Rosybug)

Momentum Thok
- Halts your vertical speed, I guess. You know how this works. On to the actual interesting part.
Barrage Dash - Press Spin to charge a Drop Dash. If Rosy is on the ground, she'll hop up a little. Once she lands, she'll go zooming forward in ball form. She'll automatically uncurl once you let go of Spin. If you hold Jump and Spin at the same time, Rosy will automatically spam the Barrage Dash, letting you build up incredible speed.

Huge shout out to Pyrakid Wolfo, Clairebun, and the Soashi's Modded Planet dev team for contributing to the custom Amy moveset whose features, both intended and unintended, were a massive inspiration for this pair of characters.

Progress is going well! I posted this in this thread because I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to this, but after a couple weeks of work, I can pretty safely say these two are bound for Addons & More! With some help from a friend, their lore has been hashed out, and sprite edits for Rosy are in the works. Nothing too in-depth, but she'll be a bit easier to tell apart from her somewhat-less-vibrant host!

I've spent most of the last few weeks fixing bugs and adding little quality-of-life features to their movesets. Rosy has a parry tied to her Momentum Thok now because I just can't help myself sometimes. :p

Today has been mostly spent adding VFX to a lot of different things that felt a bit bare before. I think it's gone a long way towards making these two feel more fully-fledged. It's astonishing how much difference a little visual flair can make!

It's a bit hard to see in the gif, but... is that the Brimstone sprite from The Binding of Isaac being used as VFX for the Rosy switch?

Nope! Those are meant to be rose symbols. It's definitely hard to tell in the resolution of the GIF, and even during gameplay, but Rosy is associated with, well, roses! Which is kind of a pain, with how complicated their shape is. :p
