"I had made the original Snake mod, so I'm glad someone went ahead and brought the Snake to full 3D. What a thrill." -Uneven_Prankster

That someone ended up being me. 🤷 ♂

Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series joins the race! ...Or to be more specific, Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation. No numbers added to that one.

This mod was originally made by Uneven_Prankster, who wanted to make a Snake mod using the model from the PSX game and a cardboard box with wheels, because of course. I decided that it would be a good idea to make it recolorable, since nobody else was on it. Then I escalated things further by porting over the original model to the MD2 format, and now here we are.

Speed: 3
Weight: 2

This character mod for Kart features:

  • A brand-new cardboard box vehicle that comes in many colors! Stealth isn't necessary for this mission, after all. Also with Kart's branding, of course.
  • Ridiculous proportions!
  • Animations?
  • Some of your favorite Snake phrases including "There!" and "It's showtime." in glorious low quality!
  • An MD2, for those with 3D racers enabled.
  • The gift of snakes.

I didn't want to change much while making this mod, most I did was rotate Snake's head while drifting for the MD2, but otherwise the 2D and 3D versions should be identical.

I hope you enjoy racing with this silly mod, as maaaybe I spent too much time on it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Instructions for installing the MD2:
Extract the MD2 folder to the base of the folder you have SRB2Kart in. This should merge it with the already-existing MD2 folder, adding Snake's MD2 to MD2/KDLC.
Open "kmd2.dat" on Notepad or any other text editor.
Then add "PSXSNAKE KDLC/PSXSNAKE.md2 3.0 0.0" without the quoation marks below the last line, which should be another MD2.

Note: This post was only done for meme reasons. I have not yet shared my thoughts on this WAD because I usually prefer the 2D sprites in SRB2Kart. If snake ends up getting 2D sprites I will consider looking at the WAD. For now here is the meme.
*pulls out a silenced P2K* Time to be sneaky.
The game: "Stealth is optional for this mission"
Wait. It's optional? *Puts away the P2K and pulls out the RC-P90*
