SRB2: Generations

Prob a lil too early to say but for modern deep sea,you should prob use inspiration from modern chemical plant and aquarium park from colors
modern chemical plant is being used as inspiration for technohill, same case happened for the original version--its the reason why the skybox goes up in flames after all,

small thing is that im also planning on using pyramid cave from sa2 as inspiration for deep sea.......

I don't think the levels as they are now needed to be changed or reworked tbh, but go for it if you feel like it I guess.
i do feel like it, thats the reason im doing this lol

updaots

-new section (one after automation yeah)
-weather's pretty cozy today, so i ended up lazing around and sleeping instead of map making, sorry guys

i want to say that everything is subject to change- like example i call greenflower done (no, this is an example, its not yet done but almost ok) but i might later extend and add more sections to the stage, or i might remove some sections since i find them stupid, so remember that yeah

Oooh piramid cave I see
Well good luck on it lel

im saying he could have added that in his current versions
we're sticking more close to srb2 gameplay than modern gameplay due to limitations (and that we REALLY have no idea how exactly Modern Sonic v6 works besides some info about his moveset and gifs, sure it's better than nothing but we can't get an exact feel to it yet...), but there will be several reaction-based stuff later on, really this is the first level so i just wanted it to be an easy one where you can really just run around

[wrongly spelled 'update']

-three new sections, one still being worked on--that one is based on a part of white forest from sa2

maybe give this lua script a try for this level pack because the stages are poorly optimized https://mb.srb2.org/addons/lag-reduction-script-for-maps.5288/
no, the player themselves can add that if they are having problems with performance

the levels aren't poorly optimized, me and all the testers never had any problems with performance--it might just be your own device that makes it feel unoptimized?

updos

-gfz only needs the last major sector and its done.

yeah i am planning out a modern take of that race, but the obvious problem is that metal sonic is MUCH slower than modern, so i really just have to figure out how to have him be ridiculously faster or put a crap ton of problems/obstacles on modern sonic's path that it actually makes it a challenge to race against him

...or just find someone that knows a lot about lua to help recreate generations' rival battles (shadow's rival battle specifically,) which i think would be hard to do since im not sure how exactly i can ask for help

otherwise unfortunately i'd have to leave the metal sonic race as it is:worry:
i wonder if you can record a playback of another character and then metal can absorb that playback and copy it position for position?

rail grinding would unfortunately only be an arid canyon specific gimmick, since im really annoyed with how tedious it is to make minecart tracks
a few words, as seen in OLDC 2023r2's nullspace level . the green things speed up minecarts i think

Is better to use a simple AI that follows a path and doesn't get stuck too easily.
