It's SoupMob's "enhanced" port of SRB2 The Past 1.08.c from 2.1, it's called DX because it will have add more stuff aside from being a regular port, I apparently have no interest in this project not only because of his bad reputation in the community, but also his rudeness with proof shown in the post above this one.

Hey everyone! It's Soup here! And I am announcing publicly that a new project based on SRB2TP will be made!

(WARNING! TL;DR: FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THIS!)
Before explaining details, it should be worth mentioning that this was indeed under covers for a couple months now. More specifically, in the SRB20YA server. Unfortunately, some stuff shared in the threads were lost due to a 2-week kick which I won't specify because it will aggravate the situation. This alternate version was created a few days prior to when SRB2TP 2.0 was announced publicly thanks to teaser images, which if you haven't checked, please take your time to do that. When this sort of stuff was revealed, many people were kinda excited. As for Glaber, he was perfectly OK with this project and such. I made it clear that this wasn't made to steal from Glaber and he and everyone agreed.
Out of boredom, I decided that to not stretch the development further. I decided to release a Halloween demo (which I've noticed it's kind of a common practice lol). Unfortunately, it was kind of a mistake because I knew the hype was gonna make me late on some IRL stuff, but KrazeeTobi (owner of the said server) and Ricardo AJP were kind enough to volunteer and help the project boost, and so I agreed. He made a channel exclusive for beta testing, a build was shared and there was a netgame hosted for it. Needless to say, it was chaotic (in a good way of course).
Some stuff were being shared, postpones kinda happened due to you-know-what... But then, when I got kicked, development stopped. There were too much drama going on and IRL stuff to keep me going which lead to me being completely screwed. Not to mention, the beta testers probably left afterwards, as if the situation hasn't aggravated enough. Now that I am alone, it's safe to say that the build(s) will be split into patches for each day until the next demo comes out. This is possibly the only way the demo gets saved. I shouldn't worry about this type of stuff, but I knew this would sabotage my project. So sorry if this got a bit derailed. Anywho, let's move on!
Q1: Is this made in response to SRB2TP 2.0?
A1: Like I have mentioned, this was made PRIOR to when stuff was revealed publicly about 2.0. Back then, SRB2 2.0 was kind of a port (w/ ACZ & reworked objects) of the original, but during some time, stuff was planned and it was all hype. So no.
Q2: Is this a portleg of some sorts?
A2: No, Glaber's project is about 95% reusable. The other 5 are for low effort portlegs that Glaber didn't consent to. (ahem- gamebanana -AHEM!-) And he was totally OK with the project as previously mentioned.
Q3: Are you stealing from Glaber?
A3: ABSOLUTELY NOT, THIS ISN'T BEING SNATCHED AWAY BEHIND HIS BACK IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM POSSIBLE. (sorry for caps, kinda important notice)
Q4: Is there any way I could be a beta tester?
A4: Absolutely! I am currently looking for beta testers for my project, some are being chosen based on talents and careers. I can't recruit anybody at the moment, but after 1 or 2 patches are released I will make some sort of survey. (wink wink ;) )
Q5: Can I be a developer?
A5: Depends honestly. While it will mostly consist of reusable content like 2.0, I don't have trusts for anyone to be in at the moment. I am currently looking for beta testers, level porters, mode revampers, LUA & SOC coders, and skin programmers. It will be hard, so a patch will be made after a couple of demos and some other thingamajigs with new faces on the team.
Q6: Is there any new content being released?
A6: Definitely. Although, give me some time, the Halloween demo is only the VERY tip of the iceberg of when it's to come. Details coming up anytime soon.
Q7: Why was this project made?
A7: Intially made out of boredom, but it's having some development now. It will pay much more homage to the old SRB2 builds individually. And will feature additional individual content and WIPs, like new LUAs, PK3s and SOCs based on extra modes, character skins, custom objects, archives, etc... (note: this was already planned since the very beginning)
Q8: Like SRB2TP 2.0, is this reusable?
A8: Obviously. Otherwise, nothing regarding it would be reusable. Feel free to make some mods and other stuff. However, I am not too certain about the future.

Hell, Othius was even helping for a while. A portleg doesn't mean "bad mod", it means something ported without permission in poor quality, or poor taste. Considering that the plan was to have all original content.... uh, no. Also, that dude's "God Works" isn't even a port of anything, so it can't be a portleg.

Hated to waste an opportunity to make the last announcement before the next build comes out, but I'm afraid I have no choice. There's nothing too exciting to read about this post, it's too derailed for its own good. But I believe it's kinda important as well, sadly.
I have been hiding this for quite some time, and I believed it was for my own good not to say it. But after a shitshow went on, I had no other choice to explain what's been happening behind the scenes, and how any of this affects my presence in the SRB2 community as well as the project. It had to be that way sadly, but frankly, I can't hide it much longer. I AM NOT STARTING WARS OR ANYTHING OF THE SORTS. Just a side of my story.
This November, I have been too caught up to do other stuff that isn't related to SRB2. I already mentioned this previously, but seeing how this month is ending soon and many of you might be concerned about the project (myself included), I guess it's time to go into detail.
Sadly, no. I haven't made anything to my social media accounts for the past days, school is still fucking me up, I haven't got active with anything, and I might get in trouble at school because without knowing, it was time to grade students. I'm not that good a student BTW. Either how, I decided to not burn myself out by NOT working on this project at all for this month only. It wasn't gonna make a difference anyway... I thought I knew I was in peace and harmony. I thought I knew what I was doing... But I was wrong.
I realized making this project, playing this game and joining this community was a big joke and a waste of my time. I am being honest BTW, I am not joking around like I usually do. I think I finally understand what this community is about and where it's going. TBF, I think the amount this community has created was pretty variable and actually good. I can't say the same thing at how they handle situations however. Not gonna go into details, but you know what I'm talking about. What does this have to do with the statement? Let's just say I got into hot water for the dumbest reasons I could possibly imagine. I am not gonna reveal too much because I don't want to turn this into a drama thread as well as people talking about this publicly. This is simply just said in regards to the project and my other contributions. I did say, there were some stuff I happened to be comfortable to talk, so I'll give the skinny.
I have been banned for a WHOPPING 3 SRB2-RELATED DISCORD SERVERS. These were the only ones I joined. First ban only affected the project, simply because it took place in a sub-community. It wasn't spread as much, but kinda got targeted a bit... Second ban was a huge one, because it took place in a popular server and got really exposed. Any of the actions were took as a testimonial to my reputation, which then assumingly lead to my third ban. People were being cautious about this stuff, which was honestly surprising because I didn't even know what I did wrong... Should I specify any of this? I could, but I have to do it somewhere else than here if anything, people could ask me what happened, but shit would shake up again if I told the truth and I don't even want to do that as I have mentioned earlier. Am I defending myself and being self-righteous? It doesn't matter. Did I purposefully made drama? It doesn't matter. What it matters is, if this shit continues on, I will be, without a doubt, quit from SRB2 PERMANENTLY. I had enough of everything relating this and that, and the way everyone's been treating not just me, but anyone else. I also don't mean to expose anyone as well.
Infact, after seeing this shitty experience, I probably won't work on this further.
Anyway, if you have any thoughts about this you would want to share. Don't. This was only a quick vent about my experience with the SRB2 community and how much it shatters everything I "tried" to work on. I already had to deal with enough bullshit from others.
Q&A:
Should I still be supporting the project if I follow it and help? I guess so, that wouldn't hurt... It's not like you're obligated to like this project.
If this project DOES get cancelled, could anyone continue it? Sure, it's reusable and I would love to see this being kept, considering how short this ride was.
If you get tons of flak, will you still be continuing this nonetheless? Yes or no. It's hard, but if tons of people are constantly in my ass, I should move past that. However, the answer depends on whether I want to continue it, which is still in judgement.
Here is the final BIG question: Is SRB2TPDX going to be cancelled? At this rate, it probably will happen. First, I need to take a break. I might not have a truce with people and such, but when December arrives, I'll think about on whether I should continue it. HOWEVER, it's safe to assume the project will almost be getting the cancellation treatment. And I mean it this time.
I'm sorry this thread was SUPER DERAILED. It was a mini-vent about my SRB2 experiences and the troubling future of the project. Anything regarding about me was kept to myself. So like I said, any thoughts will be cleared somewhere else.
The MB isn't a proper place to whine about bans from various community discords, especially ours :V Sometimes, it's the same staff, and the same reasons you've been banned will stand just as true, here. If you HAVEN'T been banned, it's because we were giving you a chance to step back and re-examine your behavior. If you're not willing to do that, and are just going to pretend that three servers with very different moderation teams all had poor judgment when they banned you (after giving you many chances, as I'm well aware), then perhaps you're just too prideful to take much away from it as a learning experience
Regardless, I actually would hope you do, because what you ought to take away from it is a realization "hey, if what I keep doing keeps pushing the envelope of a large majority of people to the point where I get banned, maybe my behavior isn't as tolerable as I thought it was." I know most staff are more than willing to work with people who are willing to own up now and then; really they just want people to get along and be happy. I know I am! But you don't really seem willing to do that in all my past experience reading your lines, I'm sorry.
So as long as you're going to go on our public forum and try to say you were banned unfairly, it's only fair I get to contradict why you *weren't* banned unfairly. You can't possibly argue that. Here are some images that factored into your ban from the OS -- behavior I've seen of yours across multiple servers.

You keep trying to use modern internet culture as a scapegoat, but what's actually at fault here is your own abrasive behavior and lack of respect for others. People don't like how you act nowadays? People would have hated your guts back then too, LOL. The sooner you realize that, the sooner everyone can get along. But if you don't, you're cursing yourself to experience this kind of stuff everywhere you go.
If you want to rough talk, that's okay. You're allowed to be as coarse as you want, but you have to do that in the company of friends who know you well and not thousands of strangers. When you're in mixed company, you have to be polite, because expecting people you don't know to read between the lines of the things you say is an unfair social burden to them, and that's why you're testing people's patience repeatedly.
Are you gonna keep on like this? When people react to what you say negatively, are you going to keep on doing the equivalent of "how DARE you take the most obvious reaction to the hostile looking things I said?" Or next time are you gonna be, like, "Sorry, miscommunication, was just meaning to jest, but I didn't make that obvious enough"?

This certainly is a hype killer,was looking forward to playing and seeing what the zones in older SRB2 versions were like but uhh..yeah I don't think I wanna play something made by a real tosser
