X Sonic v1.1c

The Mod is good, one of the best so far, but I have a question, Just one question. is it normal for XSonic to move extremely slowly in the underwater stages? Because, like, it's a bit impossible to get past act 2 of the Deep Sea Zone.

Amazing addon, and remarkable repeatability.
He's hard to learn at first, but once mastered, he's almost unstoppable.

I love this mod, and probably for my nostalgia since it felt like you quite literally "yoinked" Sonic from 'Sonic-X' and made him feel fantastic. Great mod, Blur.

Seeing the Sonic from my childhood show as a playable character in my favorite game makes me so happy! I'm not thinking it twice, you deserve my 5 stars and even more.

I love the mod; the sprites look fantastic and accurate to the show. You can see all hard work and dedication that went into making this mod. X Sonic is really fast and hard to control but once you played with him awhile, he's addicting.

Better than I was expecting, and I was expecting greatness! this is 100% the best mod made this year, no doubt about it! If you haven't downloaded this yet, what are you doing!?

This is FANTASTIC. I've been waiting for this to come out since it was announce early this year and THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT. Is a bit hard to control, but is mostly a matter of perfectiong using X Sonic but it is SO MUCH FUN.

Per-Freakin-Fection! Everything in this mod is so well made, and the callbacks to the show are so clever. Like how he is practically useless underwater and even does that thing where he runs underwater just like the pool scene. Or like how when he gets flung he does the same pose from the intro when he hits the spring.

Man yall weren't kidding when u guys said u were gonna shadow drop it, great mod tho 10/10 no issues.

I'd love to agree with everyone saying that this mod is "peak", but I cannot lie, this guy looks way cooler than he feels when playing, I don't know if it is cuz' I just hate the automatic play style option, but I can't wrap my head around how he is supposed to be played and on top of that, manual play style makes the zip dash controls absolutely nonsensical so I can't even play him the way I know how to play every other character
Also, I really don't want to say that him being fast is an issue, that's what Sonic is about, but still, it really feels like most levels in the game are too small for this guy's speed, you press spin for a second and you already bonk on a wall
And don't get me started on ring burst, even after trying out the tutorial from XPack, I still don't know how you're supposed to control that and touching the ground makes it almost impossible to see what you're doing if you don't turn the camera shaking off, also, I'd usually say that holding spin mid-air to use it is better than just using a custom button, but it's really easy to accidentally activate ring burst while trying to do a zip dash leap, wich ends up making it feel like an annoyance, it's probably a bad idea to make a move that drains rings so easy to use when you don't want to
I'm gonna keep trying to beat the game with him, cuz' honestly, what you guys made here is really cool and I really want to like it, but it's just a bit too hard to control sometimes, kind off annoying even, pretty sure it's just a skill issue of mine, but still all I ask of you is an option to change how zip dash controls to make him playable on manual mode, please, I beg you, just that would make it so much better

Beautiful sprites and personality, however, he seems to be designed solely for speedrunning memorized routes and that's about it. He's Super Mystic Sonic but with somehow less movement control. Unless you're cracked on addy you're just gonna fly into walls and off the map. Also you pretty much have to change characters if it's a water level and you're not just skipping all the water parts. He's annoyingly useless in any amount of water which is unfortunate, though a funny nod to Sonic X.

I'd hoped he'd be more flexible so that normal players could enjoy him too. I love the design and his easter eggs and even the bloodlust mechanic but overall he's just a less intuitive SMS and is meant to skip 90% of the level. If you actually want to play the game and go through the levels he's just not granular enough in his movement. You're either going incredibly slow or incredibly fast. At least SMS had ways to stop movement like the ground slam.

I still think X Sonic is really cool and artistically awesome. If they either add a more granular mode to him where he has more control or expand on his movement abilities to allow actual methodical gameplay instead of just memorizing and practicing jumps and angles like it's CS, he'd be excellent. I can appreciate and understand skillful usage of movement to beat the level quickly, and expect a lot of "git gud lol," but that is such a specific playstyle catered to only veterans who wanna beat the levels in as short a time as possible. I was just never an SMS "beat each level in under 20 seconds" kinda player, so it sucks that that gives me a lot less to look forward to as a result. Let me know if I'm missing anything, cheers!

as someone who's watched a bit too much sonic X i can safely say i am extremely unbiased and my nostalgia definitely isn't influencing my rating at all

seriously though, although difficult to control at first, this guy's a blast to play with! you, and everyone else who worked on it, seriously knocked this out of the park, onto the freeway, and then off the freeway, into some stupid kid's backyard pool

That is really some of the most complex chars i have ever played in my entire damn life.


I loved it.
It's perfect.

The X word is commonly used for strong things (Mega Man X being a example) and no joke this character is insanely strong , hard to control at first but easy to master after played a while , 100% recommendable
