I love the new Sonic thok for how much more controllable it feels. It doesn't feel like I'm being launched out of control. Being able to reuse it twice after hitting a wall or badnik is fun as well, if a bit OP maybe.
Tails's flight controls feel great as well. However, his actual up and down movement feels a little bit too strong, like his weight magically changes with the press and release of the jump button.
Amy is a full on breath of fresh air in comparison to her base game play-style. Using the Piko-piko hammer on the ground now has some actual use instead of just breaking spikes and hitting springs, and it gives Amy the movement options she really desperately needs.
As for the re-usable spin-dash, it feels neat, but I had a hard time finding a proper use for it. All of the added specials effects are top-notch though.
