Hello everybody, it's been awhile hasn't it. This update has actually been ready for awhile now, I just never got around to it. But recently, I put the final touches onto the update so enough of the rambling let's get to the changes and new colors.
Change Log
- Spaces in the names have been removed, which should make stuff like BuddyEX much easier to use.
- The "Springlocked" color has been changed to look more like the gold color.
- The Vessel and Fluffy colors have been renamed to CcVessel and CcFluffy, to seperate them from the colors included in DeltaChars.
- The colors based on the real world palettes of the Deltarune cast have been set to always appear, as they were previously hidden for no real reason.
And if your questioning it, the colors based on the Deltarune cast work surprisingly well with
DeltaChars, although there are some oddities like Ralsei having a Green outline with CcFluffy. But enough with the old stuff, let's move onto the new stuff:
New Colors
Heroes
This color is a bonus color meant to represent
Sonic Classic Heroes. It's supposed to be an amalgamation of the Blue, Orange and Red colors. But to be completely honest, it doesn't look all that great. But I spent too much time making the color to get rid of it. So enjoy this... abomination.
Daylight
This color is based on the Southern Pacific 4449,
an actual locomotive. I don't know what possessed me to make a color based off an actual locomotive, but I think it looks good either way.
Sandopolis
This color is based off Sandopolis from Sonic & Knuckles, and I also don't know what compelled me to make it a color. Does anyone even like Sandopolis Zone? In fact, as a kid I actually got stuck on Sandopolis Zone, I could never make it past Act 2 in that one section where you slide down on the sand.
Spiral
This color is an attempt to make a "Rainbow" color in SRB2 which isn't shifting between Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple, but instead all one color. You can tell the result is,
bizarre to say the least. It reminds me of those weather radars not gonna lie.
Stardust
Speaking of
bizarre things, this color is based off Jotaro Kujo from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I mean I've refrenced a ton of Sonic Rom Hacks, numerous video games, Spongebob and a actual train. Might as well throw in a Jojo reference. Also it's an excuse to make another blue and purple color.
Purple Guy
This color is based off Purple Guy's FNAF 2 sprite in the
SAVE THEM minigame. If you ever need to pretend your Purple Guy in a Sonic fangame, well first what in the world are you doing? But second, this color has you covered.
Now that would be it, but I also decided to throw in some Super Colors! You'll have to download them separately from the main colors, and you'll also have to download
SuperColors Revamp. Make sure to add the Crazy Collection SuperColors after SuperColors Revamp. But onto the colors:
Fallen
This color is based on how Super Sonic appears in Sonic and the Fallen Star. I honestly think this is a really good look for Super Sonic, better than just yellow Sonic again. Also credit to
TLKG's Colors and Supercolors for having the idea of this before me.
Magnet
This color is based off Sonic the Hedgehog: Isle of Magnetic Artifacts' appearance of Super Sonic, atleast in the demo. I don't know why they added a Super Challenge into the demo, or why Super Sonic is blue and white, but I'm not gonna question good things.
Rainbow
This color is simply flashing the colors of the rainbow, quite literally, you may not wanna look at this color too long. Also it doesn't flash the color orange, due to there being only 5 Super Color slots. So if your favorite color is orange, I'm sorry.
NineTail
I never really liked how Tails super form looked in SRB2, so this is a new color for Tails' super form. It may get some adjustments in the future, but I swear it looks better in action and when Tails has his... well tails. I may also do this for Metal Sonic as I also don't really like his super form, and maybe Amy and Fang.
And that is everything in 2.0! I hope you enjoy the changes and new colors included in this update. If there are any bugs, make sure to tell me. Enjoy!
