When shooting something harmful, like an Eggman Monitor, the custom HUD in the top right will flash black and red
Since this can be used to figure out when you shouldn't be shooting something with the sound off, the caption doesn't need to yell at you anymore
Evidently, the sound itself doesn't need to yell either, as the alarm sound when shooting something harmful has been made a bit quieter
Our top experts have deduced that getting blown up may be bad, and that shooting things that explode when shot will often cause getting blown up; as such, Arid Canyon's TNT Barrels will now trigger the harmful target alert when shot
Objects that use player sprites, such as Fang and Metal Sonic, should now display properly in the custom HUD
When shifting gears, the part of the HUD that displays your current gear will briefly flash
Behind the scenes, the harmful target alarm is now activated by a variable on the target's end, making it far easier to add Sophia compatibility to custom objects, if you want
For the masochists in the audience, Sophia can no longer gain illegal rings in Ultimate Mode
Sophia will no longer phase through Metal Sonic, and thus can actually beat the game!
Added some missing/outdated sprites, such as the sign and the life counter icon
Changed how the game initializes Sophia's variable table, which may fix a few issues (multiplayer in particular probably works better, hopefully)
This also had some unintentional minor side effects, such as making Autofire turn off between levels, requiring the player to press Spin to turn it back on, which is probably just not worth the effort to fix
Tweaked a few things in the HUD
The preview of your target will now spin smoothly rather than stopping, and its rotation will reset upon switching to a different target
The Gear counter is now centered relative to the rest of the HUD
Updated a few sounds to more closely match Blaster Master
The sound for toggling Autofire now actually uses the sound of switching weapons in the menu in the original, rather than the next closest thing I could find
Instead of an unclear burning sound, losing rings from standing on lava will make the hurt sound from Blaster Master: Enemy Below
The position of Sophia's beam is now hard-coded, rather than derived from her skin height; it also properly flips with gravity now
