So I got back from a very fun weekend, I watched some Buggy Huggy as always, and when I checked on this mod after rewatching BFDI Season 4B, the mod was finally aproved. Why did I bring this up? Because I was feeling very good about myself after rewatching BFB(post-split), and this immensely positive spirit helped make this mod fully visible to the public, and for real this time. Thank you to whoever approved of my first successful mod, as I highly look forward to making more mods like this in the future!
Shifty is a character that I made up, the character is based off Ditto from the Pokemon series and his artstyle and overall design pay homage to BFB/TPOT. A lot of other users had their own object show OCs made before(as you may or may not have seen many times beforehand). Normally, Shifty has the ability to shapeshift into anything or anyone he wants, as well as being able to mimic personalities, voices, and even mindsets of whoever he is trying to "be". Given that this is just a character for a kart racing game, I had decided to just throw a little blob on it and call it a day, but of course, I didn't stop there. I decided to give him a light blue color, because it looks very close to the Shifty in my head.
Pro Tip!: If you go into the Player Setup... tab for SRB2 and/or SRB2K and go down to where you select your character's color and press BACKSPACE, your character's color will instantly be changed to the character's default color. Shifty's default color, for example is Cerulean, as seen in the picture below:
As you can see from the picture below, Shifty has his own stats that set him apart from the cast. Shifty is far from being the fastest thing alive, but is made up for with his weight being quite light, due to the weight of the go-kart itself being relatively really light, even when Shifty is on the kart, its weight is pretty much unchanged for the most part.
I really hope you enjoy my creation, and have the most fun you can have by playing as an object show OC, or at least anything like it. I will also be releasing patches if I have too. And you may not believe this but I was the only one who made the mod, I did the sprites, I picked the color, and I set the stats. But what about voicework? Well, Shifty doesn't have any voice lines yet, if anyone's got a good impression of the character, let me know. I know that I can't do everything myself, that's why I really want to work more with other people that share a lot of interests with me. So yeah, I really hope you all leave a good review or two on this, and I really hope you enjoy it.
