So it's not only been a year since Ring Racers, but it's also been a year since the first release of RuberPack! It's not the "peak" set of tracks, nor is it provide the most consistently fluid gameplay amomgst others, but hey, it was fun to make and I want to thank everyone to the playtesters and time attacks record setters and especially Kart Krew Dev for providing an insanely fun experience to build upon.

It's been a while but this is a hefty update, so with that said...

Here's update b7 for RuberPack:

Overall

• The arrangement of the RuberPack download files have been revised due to the size of the entire pack combined finally reaching more than 50MB (...and also to organize a few files much more cleaner). Due to this circumstance, the singular bundled pk3 of RuberPack can no longer be downloaded across Online servers, and must now be hosted with the individual pk3 files along with it's Cups, Characters, and Followers.

Characters

• All previously featured characters now have their own "Jack Frost Dialogue" when talking to him at a newly added secret location in Frosty Circuit.

Maps

• All tracks received noticeably larger minimaps completely redrawn.
• All previously unlooped songs are now looped properly.
• New time trial ghosts have been included and also now function properly without being included in a separate download folder.
• Certain maps now use Object 36 to start the player off closer to the Starting Line during Time Trial mode.
• Various, yet hardly noticeable bugs detected using Map Analysis, have been taken care of.
• Certain new global textures such as custom boost pads have been applied (with the exception of Object version of boost pads).

Miracle Cup

Egg Quarters

• New race map as of version b7, featured in Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart.

Death Chamber

• New Battle/Prison Break map as of version b7 (Including a Race version hidden somewhere in Egg Quarters during Grand Prix or selectable via menu).
(***NOTE: The Race version of this level was designed with a diagonal Finish Line in mind before it was confirmed that diagonal Finish Lines causes SPBs to spawn early and waypoints to sometimes behave strangely, this is a base game issue. I deeply apologize for this, however the level is still absolutely functional and pretty difficult. You have been warned!)

Pleasure Castle

• New race map as of version b7, featured in Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart.

Sea-Saw

• New Special Stage map as of version b7.

Solar Stroller

• Fixed linedefs warping glitch near the end (Attempt #2).

• Edited the S-loop to prevent players from being stuck if respawned, including a barrier and recovery plane.(Attempt #3).

Boomerang Battleship

• Players may have encountered instances of SPBs appearing very early and waypoints acting very in this map in particular.... It has been found that the finish line being diagonal had caused the issue. Therefore, the map has now entirely been rotated 45 degrees. This is to hopefully fix any previous issue regarding that once and for all (Attempt #6).
• Added moving boost pads in few sections.
• Added new flooring and "fence" lighting on certain turns to help give clarity.
• Fixed unmarked death planes.
• Fixed linedef accidentally placed after the first half-loop causing players to potentially gravflip in the wrong spot.

• The loop has been slightly tweaked to prevent the player from flying off if entered at a certain placements (Attempt #3).
• New decorative setpieces and textures have been added around the map.

It's been too long again... Hopefully i can get around to something cool like b7, but this isn't a small update! So for the time being...

Here's update b6.2 for RuberPack:

Overall

• Removed accidental inclusion of Wonder Cup's .bak file in the download files.
• Removed previously included Time Trial ghost files due to the renaming of the tracks with the pk3 files.
• The <eof> error messages caused by SOC in console *should* no longer appear.

Maps

• The setup of the capsules in all Battle/Prison Break maps are now tweaked, arranged, and different ranged object sizes for variety.
• Various levels include a few touch ups that involve "recovery springs" to attempt help gameplay run smoother.

Wonder Cup

Bubble Bayside

• Fixed a slope group that was accidentally moved at an incorrect height.
• Several amount of slope sectors and vertexes have been merged to help boost framerate and optimize the map size itself, sacrificing smooth slope curves.
• Fixed wooden gates that were left unpegged.

Agaria Botanica

• Attempt (and hopefully the last) to fix S loop respawing causing the player to be stuck in midair.
• Fixed a slope bug where it was possible to be stuck on a specific corner of a ramp.

Boomerang Battleship

• Added Death/Recovery planes in certain spots that were in need of them to prevent breaking the level and sustain the flow of the gameplay.
• A few aesthetic changes were made, hinting at more changes in future updates.
• Added dash rings to a certain part of the gravity beam section to prevent hitting ceiling upon going in rapidly.
• Removed tripwire after the end half loop that was possible to hit from below.

Wishing Wonders

• The whole "version switching" system has been done away with, to simply "if you want to play the revamped version, patch "DRBS_Wonder_Cup-b0XX_WishingWonders_Rev.pk3" after you apply the bundled or individual Wonder Cup file.

• Fixed waypoints that were lowered with the intent of fixing being spawned too high, but ended up causing the player to spawn beneath the road. They currently spawn slighty above the road higher than usual but this is currently the option that works due to how the level is built.

Miracle Cup

Solar Stroller

• Fixed a major oversight where Solar Stroller's custom objects were duplicated into Wonder Cup within the individual files, causing MT_UNKNOWN errors.
• fixed an oversight where the player explodes upon respawning inside the automated doors.
• Tweaked sector for the automated doors to open at an earlier sector.
• Tweaked ledge area near the ramp shortcut that caused players to be stuck without a way to respawn quickly.

Not a serious one but, the previous new song for Solar Stroller, and various minimaps are actually up to date and working.
Thank you for bearing with me folks i tip my hat to you for the wait. Shoutouts to the people thumbs up'ing this addon, glad to know you're enjoying this!

Here's an update:

I've rearranged the way the internal files you download appear in hopes of them being easier to navigate, pick and choose files you want or don't care for. Hoping it suffices.

Alrighty it's time for big new cup content.

Though this Update introduces a new cup, expect updates to old content as well for the sake of improvement and bug fixing.

• The collectable spray can is now placed in an easier spot on the rock jump ledge.

• The original "fidelity" version of Wishing Wonders is playable only through one person playing, and the FPS-friendly rehaul is playable through Online/Multiplayer upon selecting the track and will load either version depending on the mode via amount of players. Alternatively if you wish to replace the original "fidelity" version with the FPS rehaul manually, apply the addon called "DRS_Wonder_Cup-b06_WishingWonders_Rev.pk3" directly after applying Wonder Cup into the game.

• Because of the aforementioned tracks change, new textures on the rehauled version have been introduced to help the level decorating to remain pleasing on the eyes due to the method used to fix the framerates.

• The Dash Rings at the end of the track are more powerful to avoid falling underneath the track.
  • Cool!

Hi again.

Here's update b5.3 for RuberPack:

Boomerang Battleship

Wishing Wonders

• More rings have been added in various spots to pick up within the map.
• Combative fix to prevent players from clipping through the floor FOF on the first turn.
• The listed Source for "Race Against Time!" has been changed from "Playcade OST" to "Playcade".
• The loop point end for "Race Against Time!" has been fixed to loop correctly.
• Slight tweaks and improvements to the level object graphics.
• (***Note: I've been made aware of certain players having frame rate issues on this track, while most who have gotten back to me have had zero issues... So, I have made efforts and looked into ways to prevent at least some lag, which was due to this track using a large amount of FOFs in return for design quality and fidelity.
Please understand, After a bit of testing and feedback and thought put into what comes out of this, I have come to the conclusion of leaving it the way it is presented here for now (as the solutions very much take away the quality of the design the level was intended to have) until a potential future solution opens up that pinpoints a fair solution between design and gameplay.
Thank you for your time and apologies for the inconvenience, and I hope you enjoy what this pack has to offer!)

Tropical Gardens

• The giant tree in the middle has been resized to compensate for Battle mode.
• Minimap has been updated to be more accurate to the map itself.
  • Cool!
