She may look like Amy, but she certainly doesn't play the same!
Let's talk about her abilities, starting with:
Double Jump
Doing right what it says on the tin, pressing jump twice will let RGA effectively double her jump height to reach those extra high places.
Hammer Slam
Giving a push to the spin button on the ground will let RGA swing her hammer and slam it onto the ground, being able to damage nearby enemies and use the...
Hammer Bounce
Using her hammer to propel herself into the air, RGA will bounce off of the ground to gain more height than she can from jumping. This can also be combined with her double jump to soar into the air higher than ever before. This action can be repeated while airborne and will let you Hammer Dive, which is a good way to quickly get down. It's worth mentioning that she won't bounce if the spin button is not held, however. It's also worth mentioning that if RGA is performing a dive and has glowing afterimages behind her, she is fully immune to any damage. Be careful though, since the moment the afterimages disappear you become vulnerable again.
Wall Jump
Rather than adhere to the rules of your standard walljump, RGA can scale any wall with ease by pressing jump while holding towards it. This also includes walls that Knuckles can't climb, so if there's any walls, RGA can climb them.
Miscellaneous Details
RGA has some more miscellaneous details not fit for their own sections. Said details include:
- If RGA is unable to dive or double jump the sparkles surrounding her will change in color, signifying that she is unable to act until she lands. Keep this in mind to avoid running into hazards or pits!
- Instead of Amy's usual Piko Hammer, RGA uses a Crystal Piko Hammer, which allows her to break a few more things that a regular hammer can't. Give it a try!
- Each shield gives RGA a passive of some kind beyond the passive of the shield itself. Try them all out and see what you like!
- Due to how nimble she is, getting hurt won't slow RGA down as much as the others. If in pain state, she can act out of it by double jumping or diving with her hammer. She can also act at anytime in the air, even if she hasn't jumped yet.
- Unlike regular Amy, something whimsical may happen if you collect all of the Chaos Emeralds.
